  1. Tack of the rubber gone

I remember they used to sell this rubber coat that makes your rubber tacky. Do they still sell those??? I'm not familiar with the rubber you are using but would it be because of the rubber itself? I wonder if it's worth comparing it to the quality of dignics09c? Also, if you pin your finger...
  2. Training Video Using the Revoldia CNF

Hi guys! It's been a while since I've been active. Mom life has made me very busy these days but I'm starting to find more time with Table Tennis training. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Broward Table Tennis Club (2+ hours away from my location) and got some coaching from Gal Gmach. I compiled...
  3. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Middle point has been a huge problem for me. I am slower now so it's also harder to move my legs. I also tend to get ready on the BH side for an attack rather than having a neutral position. But yes, I'm always jammed in the middle and definitely would love some tips. Thank you!
  4. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Hi everyone! I'm sharing a short compilation of my backhand. I used to not have a backhand (except for a block) so I taught myself to do BH open-ups and counter-hitting. I'm now more comfortable in using it and don't mind when my opponent puts the ball on that side. If you guys have any...
  5. Just tried the Hugo Calderano blade from Xiom, it feels pretty unique.

He's an awesome Coach! He used to coach me when I was in college in the Philippines. Please send him my regards. The name is Cielo Sowers. On the other hand, I'm curious about the blade and maybe it's something that I wouldn't mind trying in the future. I attack but I also enjoy blocking and...
  6. Dignics 09c vs dignics 05 review

I agree with what Emiri said with both the rubbers but there are a lot of players I know who enjoys the 09c with their blocking. I'm sure the blade and how people feel the ball makes a difference.
  7. New here

Hello and welcome! I'm fairly new here too and our fellow table tennis players are nice so you're in good hands!
  8. Dignics and its Effect on Sales of Tenergy and Rozena

Loving the fact that Mark V is still one of the top rubbers. I'm using a different set-up now but Mark V was the beginning of it all. LOL
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Thank you for the compliment. I do need to focus more on my serves. I have to take advantage of my set-ups. I feel like I miss the opportunity sometimes because I have to be quick and I'm not anymore. It's getting more and more frustrating as old age kicks in! I'm realizing now that I still try...
  10. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely going to ask my training partner to do this drill with me. And I will keep in mind not to back up too much. I feel like I should stay close to the table, but sometimes, the ball comes to quick that I have to back up to recover.
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Thank you! Only the two of us in our club train like this. We don't have a coach so we help each other out. The process to improve takes longer but there is always joy in it.
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Anybody else here experience people saying "cho" after a net ball? ;)
  13. Good Japanese scissors for cutting rubbers

I never had an issue with using regular scissors as long as they are sharp of course. But I might try the curved ones since I'm curious! Thanks for the info guys.
  14. My way of cutting a rubber

I don't think the Tenergy 05 is boosted. I really think that their bounce has a lot to do with the spring sponge. I don't re-glue my rubbers often even after playing multiple days a week so I could be wrong. But just like Archyan, I use sharp scissors and leave excess rubber, due to the "past...
  15. How to protect Achilles?

I've been playing for more than 2 decades now and I'm thankful that I don't have any problems with my achilles. With experience and proper coaching, I was able to make a habit of stretching and warming up my body before matches. I'm older now (almost 33), so I try to give my body the rest it...
  16. Need help Fh topspin aginast underspin how to improve?

Shortening your strokes would help generate more power from your forearm. Also, when the ball is bouncing low, with a heavy under spin, it's good to practice a soft forehand loop, focusing on the trajectory of the shot.
  17. My way of cutting a rubber

I'm so scared of using blades because I always think that I'm never going to get a clean cut. I use scissors all the time and has gotten used to it, but I always have excess rubber since I can't cut close to the paddle. LOL
  18. How long does a player stay intermediate ?

This all depends on your situation. You can climb above the intermediate level if you put the time in training with a help of a coach (maybe even a very good training partner), attend camps, and gain a lot of exposure against better players during tournaments.
  19. Why does this happen?

The expectations of the incoming ball is different to the actual bounce of the ball, that's why Adam had to readjust. This happens to a lot of players.
  20. Difference between ZLC and ZLF?

ZLF is a softer blade compared to a ZLC. I used Timo Boll ZLF before and it has great control and feel. ZLC blades are faster because the ball doesn't sink in as much.
