  1. Tenergy 05 but less bouncy

Thanks, I'll have a look at some reviews on these.
  2. Tenergy 05 but less bouncy

I have heard G1 is a popular rubber. I need to replace my backhand rubber by next week, so I might take a punt and try this one. Have you tried the G1? And if so, with what blade?
  3. Tenergy 05 but less bouncy

Looking for advice on a rubber with similar spin characteristics to Tenergy05, but with bit more control. I am using a Butterfly Viscaria blade and like loop fast on both sides. However being a bit slow around the court (55 Y/O), I often need to chop or push for a while until the right ball is...
  4. What table tennis rubbers & blade do you use?

Viscaria and T05. looping, close to table attack player - perfect setup.
  5. Yasaka Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard rubbers

Just bumping this as I have recently purchased Razka Z. I have fitted a new sheet of tenergy 05 and a new sheet of Razka on my wonderful Donic Appelgren WC 89 blade. I found the Razka Z way to slow for my forehand but on the backhand it is perfect. With the Razka I am able to do very high spin...
  6. What do you prefer? Chinese Rubber vs European Rubbers?

I used Joola Tango for many years which was great, you could pick the ball up by pressing your bat on it. After returning to table tennis from a 13 year break it's disappeared from the market. It was kind of a tacky tensor which I loved. Now using Barracuda and Tenergy 05 but they aren't the...
  7. Tried my Donic Appelgren All+ today

Played comp and practice a few times now on the Appelgren, can't really fault it at my level of play. It has a lovely feel to the blade which is better than all wood and better than hard carbon blades. It's a strange blade to describe because it doesn't have that woody feel nor the fast carbon...
  8. Tried my Donic Appelgren All+ today

Not sure what level your at IB66 but they should play well on an ALL blade. I find Viscaria too fast with T05 but that's just me. Others love it but I don't think it has the versatility I need as I play a lot of fine touch shots as well as drive loops.
  9. Which rubbers for stiga offensive classic?

I have used the Stiga OC CR for many years with Joola Tango which suited it well. Unfortunately it's no longer available and I went with Barracuda on BH and Butterfly Rozena FH. This has been a good combo for the OC blade for me so it might suit. I have recently upgraded to the Donic Appelgren...
  10. Tried my Donic Appelgren All+ today

Played some more with the Appelgren today and I really like this blade and rubber combo. The blade is lovely to use, has great control and awesome speed if you hit well. There is just something nice about the feel of this blade which I really like. It fits a niche between the harder to control...
  11. Tried my Donic Appelgren All+ today

Yeah, seems like everyone is an equipment junkie these days, better to improve your strokes / footwork etc. I know a guy with over 30 blades and he keeps switching between this and that - seems like he gets confused about which one to use. Have to admit though, I may have been bitten by the...
  12. Tried my Donic Appelgren All+ today

Well, I had an opportunity to finally test my new blade with T05 on f/hand and Donic Barracuda on the b/hand. My normal setup is a very old Stiga OC CR with Rozena and Barracuda. The blade is finished very well with a smooth handle and no rough or sharp edges I could notice. I played with the...
  13. Blade or Rubber?

I find both are important but the blade edges out in front in terms of importance to me. I would prefer to find the right blade first, then experiment with different rubbers. For example, I know Stiga offensive classic CR is perfect for me, and have used the same blade for over 20 years. As...
