I just wanted to update the thread a bit- if you're looking at the HL5 as w968 clone, it's quite far from it. Yasaka Athletico Power has been the closest that I've played with that actually feels like 968. I have bought a golden Long V which seems to be very promising. More to come soon.

I initially got it with rxton 5 forehand, rxton 1 bh. I then switched to vega x bh, and then b2 max pro. I think h3 would be better for this blade since it has more speed that b2 max pro

Hi, I really enjoyed Sanwei 75! Gan's review is pretty accurate. Nice and easy blade to use. It is quite safe and I found it to be surprisingly crispy even though it is an inner blade. I much prefer this blade over the Fang Bo. It's a great quality blade, and truly worth it for the price.

People said the LGY was the softest feeling Koto + outer Alc blade that they made. People are now saying FZD is the softest.

I personally like to flick if the spin is “reversed” (for right handed players). This spin will be more natural to receive on backhand. I tend to flick reverse side top serves that go in to my bh more than flicking under. Flipping under requires a certain consistency that I am still learning...

I meant to say that hopefully we get the carbon weave found in the w968 in these models. Did you have a source for the change of carbon? The weave on the typical inner blades from DHS has been the same as the older ones.

the handle looks like the w968 handle, at least for shakehand. So it seems as though it's the same blade but with a different handle? Although butterfly has like 5-7 vis copies with different handles that feel slightly different, so perhaps this is the same case. Fingers crossed it isn't...

Even more so for w968. Rubbers also play a part in how a blade flexes. I have DNA Pro on both sides and it flexes like a typical blade. I have not tested with h3 tho

The W968 would be the most controllable. It’s the slowest (in terms of simple drives) but also has the fastest potential speed. Long V is the “better” of the two (hl5 vs 5x) in my opinion.

Also worth mentioning that W968 is not like a viscaria in terms of ease of use. A 2500 was telling me that it’s better to use vis because it’s more forgiving. That being said, you have to keep in mind that W968 was made for the pro player. You have to have good technique to fully utilize the...

I’d beg to differ. Having tried Korbel and Long V there are differences. Long V is just more powerful, especially from long distance.

Was eyeing this blade. The handle design is meh but perhaps we finally have a more accessible w968 clone! Let me know how it plays haha

in my opinion 5x will be too fast and unstable. HL5 is fast enough and it’s a lot safer to use. W968 is a completely different thing on its own
