  1. dhs pg7 vs. tibhar Stratus Power Wood & Samsonov Force Pro (both versions)

The Tibhar Stratus Power Wood is the only 5 ply of the bunch, so should be pretty different from all other ones. You can find a detailed comparison of the PG-7 and the Force Pro Black in this PongProfessor review https://blog.tabletennis11.com/dhs-power-g7-review and he has reviewed many other...
  2. Jia Nan YUAN blade and rubber at WTT Macau 2022

Not sure, but from what I've seen I'd say Viscaria (Jia Nan played with TB Spirit until 1 or 2 years ago I think), T05 and still old sheets of TSP-Spectol (supposedly replaced by Victas Spectol S1, but the shape near the bottom of the rubber still looks like TSP Spectol).
  3. Can someone translate this?

    Average, and minimal…
  4. Advice please: 7-ply all-wood blade for my son

More "powerful" I don't know, but it feels more solid, and more rigid to me. Since I play with short-pips I like the solid and the rigid feel… But I guess that one might make proper use of the flex of the SFP Blue in another style of play… (though then I'd rather play a 5-ply all-wood blade ^^)
  5. Advice please: 7-ply all-wood blade for my son

SK7 is great, Force Pro BLACK is great too (I don't like the softer/slower Blue version), heard good things about Falck but never tried it. A nice objective comparison of many 7-ply blades...
  6. Why aren't one side short pip players twiddling more?

First, depending on the pips, you can put some amount of spin on the ball, not as much as with a backside rubber, but still. Second, the whole point of short pips is that you don't need to loop, since you cannot put much spin, you're not very sensitive to spin. So a long underspin push is not...
  7. My new equipment

Well, you ask about your equipment, but you don't ask any specific question. Besides, I have no idea what your level is, what your style of play is, what you think yourself about this equipment, why you bought it, etc. So, really, just go play with it, until then I can't imagine what you...
  8. My new equipment

I think it is ITTF-legal, now go play with it…
  9. 7 ply all wood Sanwei blades

I only own a Fextra, and from what I've heard it's a bit slower than the Pro V5. The Fextra is closer to a Clipper I guess (external Limba not Ash…)…
  10. Can anyone tell me what this is?

I think this is glue (https://item.jd.com/10030061715542.html sells it with sponge pieces)
  11. Pro tips from Philipp Floritz, former GER National player (block, shortgame)

The subtitles are on/back now, thanks.
  12. Verified User?

TBH I think it's really quite easy to see whose advice you should or should not take into account here, even without having seen proof/verification. Just spend one week lurking on the forum seeing who posts what, or even just have a look at the history of comments from one given person… Even the...
  13. I am in deep deep dilemma

Just stop thinking about your equipment so much, it doesn't matter a tenth of what you think. Just go play! (and try to find a club and a coach)
  14. World Table Tennis Championships 2021

  15. World Table Tennis Championships 2021

For some unknown reason, I have access today to table 1&2 on the WTT site. This was definitely not the case yesterday… Go figure…
  16. World Table Tennis Championships 2021

Same here with a French IP, and TBH it's really annoying enough that it kind of killed my hype… I mean, if they expect me to cheat to watch… then I'd rather not watch at all.
  17. World Championships 2021 in America

Can someone please "romanize" the names of these Chinese players WTTC practice list? https://twitter.com/momoneko_TTC/status/1460977973549416449/photo/1
  18. best yinhe blade

Not very slow, but I got my son a Yinhe W6 blade (5-ply all-wood, a little flex, mostly loop-oriented blade) and it's definitely a great blade for the price.
  19. New to short pips (forehand, shakehand)

As far as tutorials go, this one is one of the few ones I know about (and it's pretty basic): As far as inspiration go, you can search for Jia Nan YUAN, she's a female French player with SP on her FH.
