oiled

I saw a "ForSale" of a Defplay Inner Carbon FL blade, where the seller writes that he "oiled" the handle for protection, I suspect for protection from hand moisture. What oil can be used for this? I usually seal the blade and the handle too but the handle becomes "slippery" with the sealer and...
