Changing to lp rubber

says No TT No Life
I am currently using glayzer on my backhand I want to change my blade to cybershape wood and change rubber to lp I know a bit how to use it can you pls suggest some rubbers which have good reversal has decent speed and good control with durability being as good my backhand is pretty good but I want to explore all styles to see which one suits me more, and pls suggest sponge thicknesses with it. I am thinking of hellfire x 0.5 or 1.2 mm because I don't want to only chop but most of the time block near the table and also try to attack meaning open up the ball. Can you also pls tell how it will play on the carbon version of cybershape.
Thanks.

Dawei 388d-1 with 0.5mm sponge.

Can do everything relatively good and is easy to play. You really don't need to spend more than this to get 95% of what more expensive LPs can give you.

Have no clou how it plays on these blades. Should be ok on the wood one. Personally I prefer harder outerplys for LPs (Koto or harder)

Any other alternatives I think that it would not suit me

That's just my opinion, but playing pips is the easy route to fast succes. There is a reason, that there are only very few pips player in the top leagues. In the lower leagues it works because the opponents dont know how to play against it, but the higher you get the more problems you will have. Learning proper technique is harder but better in the long run. My opinion, but you don't have to share it.

It’s hard to give you advice because I don’t think there are many players who would play long pips on a cybershape. For me, I just had to try some long pips on different kind of blades until I found a combination that felt good for my playstyle. Long pips also takes alot of time to master so don’t expect good results immediately if you are already at a decent level with double inverted.

Hellfire are short, offensive pips. LP are designed for defense in BH, LP attack options are not great. LP with sponge are harder to control, less deceptive. I tried a lot of LP (I played for about a year), until I finally realized that it was not for me. Now I have been playing medium pips for almost a year: they help both in defense and have good opportunities to attack in BH.
Fast blade is also not a good choice for LP (and pips in general): with a low dwell time deception decreases; pips lose their meaning (to disrupt and serve "uncomfortable" balls; reverse decreases).

If you know what suits you, why are you bothering this forum?
388d-1 is the most played LP ever. It's very affordable no harm done, if the playstyle doesn't fit you.
It's slow enough to play it on faster blades.
