The S968 is a high-end 5+2 Inner Carbon offensive blade, with the carbon layers positioned close to the core. This provides an excellent balance of speed, feeling and control.
Playing characteristics:
Fast, direct and dynamic feeling
Excellent acceleration and power
Very high spin potential for topspin play
Stable and penetrating ball trajectory
Excellent for aggressive play close to the table and from mid-distance
Good control and touch in the short game
A great match for DHS Hurricane 3 / National Blue Sponge and other Chinese-style rubbers
My personal experience:
Personally, I liked the S968 more than both the Q968 and W968. For me, it is easier and more natural to play with on both forehand and backhand. It offers a very good balance of power, control and feeling, without being overly demanding. At the same time, it has plenty of power when you accelerate.
Compared with the Q968, the S968 is generally considered slightly faster, more dynamic and more penetrating, while maintaining the controlled feeling typical of an Inner-Carbon blade.
