Hi Everyone !!!

I am an intermediate player looking to switch my equipment. I currently play with DHS H3N commercial unboosted (FH) and Tenergy 05fx (BH) with Yinhe Galaxy N9s blade. I am looking for switching to Xiom Omega 8 China (FH) and Omega 8 Pro/Euro (BH), blade not decided yet but want to go with carbon blade. After, reading many online reviews, people are saying that these rubbers are not that durable after 2 months or so if you are playing 3 times a week 3 hrs each.

So I am confused, I want to switch to hybrid rubbers because they provide both power and spinner. Do you all have any recommendation on rubbers (durability wise) and blade combination ? I am willing to use normal asian and european rubbers instead of hybrid also.

Hello! You could always try boosting your Hurricane 3 rubber to see how you like it as it performs much better than it being unboosted. I used Hurricane 3 Blue Sponge a lot before going to short pips now, but boosted Hurricane 3 always felt good for me, as a penholder. Dignics 09C is a good hybrid, but you would have to adjust since I've noticed a huge difference with throw angle trying H3 vs 09C (09C was higher so I had to close the bat more, but could also be a technique thing as well). A lot of people tend to use Viscaria with H3 + 09C combo and a lot of the pros that set-up as well. A PROTT.vip is a good website that has these things for a good price compared to if you buy them off of different websites, and it'll show you your total price, including delivery.

Thank You. I did once consider to boost but then you have to kind of do it periodically which I felt a bit of hassle. And Dignics 09c, its the best option but since I am bit on tight budget, going for cheaper options. I want to get a really good blade this time and keep it for long time.

Hybrid rubbers generally do not have a long lifespan. D09c has a better lifespan than most hybrids -- it loses its top performance within a week or two, but it is still playable at like 80% quality for several months.

D09c is also quite a big change from Hurricane and will take time to adjust. If you're already using Hurricane then just stick with it -- it's an excellent rubber and it's cheap. If the reason you're considering hybrid rubber is because you want more power and spring, I suggest Yinhe Jupiter or Yinhe Big Dipper. These feel similar to Hurricane but don't require as much effort to make fast balls.

I'm experimenting with Jupiter now and I like it but I will probably go back to Skyline/Hurricane when this sheet wears out. The feeling is good and the power is excellent, but I like the spin and control I get from Skyline and Hurricane.

For backhand, Rozena is a good option which is cheaper than Tenergy. The topsheet is much less grippy than Tenergy, so be aware of that. Stiga Mantra medium hardness is a cheaper and better rubber than Rozena imo.

This is a great deal for a Dynasty Carbon. A fast blade with excellent feeling. If you're not sure about wanting a carbon blade, this is the one to get. It has a very very thin layer of carbon, and it feels like a wood blade on most shots. Only when you hit really hard does the carbon activate. I've been very skeptical of carbon blades because of the lack of feeling, but Dynasty has made me change my mind.

If $155 is too expensive to get Dynasty, you can get Yinhe Pro 01 (Viscaria clone) or Yinhe Pro 05 (Hurricane Long 5 clone) for $50 and they are good quality. You can get a real Viscaria or Long 5 as well. All of these can last you a very long time.
