I've been using 729 Battle max pro on DHS H301x and it's been great for me. It really suits my FH looping game style and counter attack. Should I try the Battle 3? Any suggestions?

I have brief experience with the Battle Pro Max and quite a bit more with the Battle 3.
In general I would say, Battle Pro Max leans more towards a traditional Chinese rubber, whereas Battle 3 gets some more dynamic and leans more towards a hybrid rubber.

If your Battle Pro Max is up for change and you can spare the money, I'd suggest buy both and try the Battle 3.
If you like it you are golden, if you don't you can take it off and glue on the Battle Pro Max again.

The B3 topsheet is night and day better than B2, and Battle Max Pro uses B2 topsheet. B3 sponge is also better but that is less obvious. Not much price difference between these rubbers so might as well try B3.

If you don't boost B3 be aware that the first layer of glue will not stick to the sponge. So you glue it then rub off the glue, don't apply it on your blade (or the rubber will fall off pretty soon).
Once you rubbed off your first glue start re-glueing again and it should be OK. It's a weird anomaly with B3. Interestingly boosting solves this issue.

If you use German glue it might not be an issue but it is with everything else.

Battle Max Pro uses Battle top sheet (27-006), with a really tacky surface. Sorry...

If you really like the harder feel and grip and kick when you're brush looping with Battle Max Pro, then Battle III might be a step back. B3 is a bit better for flatter hits and gives a more bouncy, softer and faster feel. But it works good for brushing the ball as well.
