i am faced with a situation now. i recently had a job transfer.i am 22 yeras old. i started table tennis late.and i'm an intermediate level player slowly getting better.until now, sadly.i have access to tables daily in my new place.. but the place i'm stuck in right now does not have any good players. the boards are mainly for recreational purposes and they remain empty..or you have a few basement players fooling around. i'm stuck here for almost 6 months due to work and it's really frustrating because i always enjoy playing against someone better and improving my game. how bad can such a gap be?...i keep doing my regular exercises and shadows...but nothing compared to a sweat drenching hard hitting practise session that i was having just a month back.
we have a lot of experienced players here on TTD....and i'm sure you guys have faced this sometime or the other...i know such phases would come in life...but even though i'm no professional it's very frustrating once my regular practise routine breaks...because i really love the game and want to learn.in this case it's as long as six months...surely, there's no way to improve in such a scenario, right, with no partner or coach?...if not, then how can i atleast hold on to my level as much as i can?..are there some drills etc?...please guide me out guys.
