Is D09c comparable to boosted H3neo on the bh?

Currently using d09c on the backhand but I might switch to H3neo on the backhand. Unboosted they might be too hard for backhand but when boosting would solve the issue of being too hard right? Currently thinking about h3 neo provincial 37deg. It wil be used on a viscaria

some people say they are a lot different, i think they are pretty similar. Not exactly the same, obviously. D09c seems a little more springy, even compared to the boosted hurricane. Hurricane still has a high top end of both speed and spin, but you have to put that power into it.

I bought a couple 38 degree prov hurricane that i'm going to throw on my backhands and try for a while. I'll be using national yellow booster. If i dont like, i can always switch back to the d09c but if i do like, i'm going to be saving a lot of money.

They're very different. I actually liked the 37 H3 on the BH a lot when I tried it on a Viscaria type (it was a ZJK). It was boosted a few times but many moons ago so completely off boost and slightly softer than the D09c per my manometer(~1/2 degree). It was slow but very, very spinny. The blade is fairly fast and stiff so speed overall wasn't really an issue, but the spin is great so had a great blend of spin and speed. The D09c sometimes feel a bit too fast for my BH.

Note that the H3 37 I tried was the national version, which felt very different from the provincial 38, more than would be expected for just 1 degree of difference. The 38 felt much, much harder, even though it doesn't measure much harder, and felt faster. The 38 I felt was a better match for a flexier blade like the 968 series.

H3 37 on bh is a very nice rubber. It's very good for pushing and looping and grabbing the ball. The speed is good enough for driving and punching. But overall it is still a bit slower than D09c, even with booster.

I found them to be pretty different, mostly because of the throw angle. D09c is a little bouncier but this is manageable if you have a good soft touch. The throw angle is the main thing that I noticed when playing with D09c -- apparently I am very sensitive to throw angle because I play at mid-far distance pretty frequently.

In my opinion, D09c was better for close-to-table countering and for banana flicking underspin -- you don't have to work as much for these strokes. But H3 did much better in the mid-distance rally and when looping far from the table -- it's easier to generate power and spin when you make a big swing. Taking low balls is also much easier with H3 -- the throw angle means that you have more margin for error in your aiming. I don't know if you take balls below the table very often, but if you do you might get annoyed with the ability of D09c to put it back on the table with good quality.
