ITTF African Youth Cup 2025 - youth table tennis competitions, taking place from 4 to 5 August 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria, are organized by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation under the auspices of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF). This will be the inaugural edition of the tournament and the first time it is held in Nigeria.
The event will feature four categories: junior and cadet boys’ and girls’ singles.

Players born on or after 1 January 2010 are eligible to compete in the cadet (U15) events.
Players born on or after 1 January 2006 are eligible to compete in the junior (U19) events.
Format
- The tournament will include four individual events:
- Boys' Singles Under 15 (U15 BS)
- Girls' Singles Under 15 (U15 GS)
- Boys' Singles Under 19 (U19 BS)
- Girls' Singles Under 19 (U19 GS)
- The competition will be conducted according to the ITTF Handbook and the ITTF Regulations for International Competitions.
The competition will be held in two stages:
- Stage 1: preliminary groups of 3–4 players (round robin system).
- If only 5 players are entered in a category, the tournament will be played as a single round robin group.
- If only 5 players are entered in a category, the tournament will be played as a single round robin group.
- Stage 2: the group winners and runners-up will qualify for the next stage (Stage 2), which will be played in a knock-out format.
In Stage 2, U19 matches will be best of 7 games, while U15 matches will remain best of 5 games.
Draw
- Seeding and draws will be conducted based on the latest ITTF Table Tennis Youth Ranking for Week 31 (29 July 2025).
- Draw for Stage 1: The draw will be based on the World Youth Ranking, with separation by national associations applied. The draw will follow the modified snake system.
- Draw for Stage 2: The winners and runners-up from all groups will proceed to this stage. The draw will follow separation by groups and associations.
- Seeding for Stage 2 will be done as follows: Winner of Group 1 will be Seed 1, winner of Group 2 – Seed 2, winners of Groups 3 and 4 – Seed 3=, winners of Groups 5, 6, 7, and 8 – Seed 5= and so on. Group runners-up will be placed in the opposite half of the draw from their respective group winners.
