Q968 compared to Fan Zhendong ALC and Innerforce ZLC

Hi guys, just wondering, I'm planning to get a Q968 but I'm afraid I won't like it. Could you guys tell me some advantages and cons of this blade and how it compares to Fan Zhendong ALC and Innerforce ZLC? Thanks!

I've tried both super fzd alc today , and a innerforce zlc, I can safely say the super fzd alc is stiff but bh is very safe and can easily hit through the blade for fh, it's still good but control is harder for me at least, zlc has the least dwell in general but and is also a very fast blade, I found it had less control of the 3, you need slower rubbers for zlc

q968 is very good blade, for forehand, bh is okay I find the dwell time a bit too long for a safe bh but if you pair it with a faster rubber like 09c or nittaku g-1 then I think it can be the best of the 3

I was a FZD ALC (H3BS/D09c) user who recently switched to the Q968 (H3BS/H3OS). It's got a very different feel, so it's impossible to tell if you'd like it. It's very much in between a W968 and a FZD, got some great flex when hit hard, has more of a slingshot effect than the FZD, which when hit really hard feels like it tops out while the Q still goes like a hammer. At least I don't have the ability to top it out. OTOH, it's not as direct and crisp, so with smaller motions like BH shots it's a bit harder to hit into the blade.

Does the FZD pair well with the Hurricane 3 or should I choose another rubber combo.Does the hurricane 3 and FZD alc combo give good spin or is it more direct.
It pairs very well with H3, excellent spin, still plenty of power when hit hard.

I used Q968 for ~3 months but switching back to the FZD now. The Q968 is more difficult to use, harder to hit into the blade, and creates a higher but also longer arc when hit hard so without great technique also harder to land on the table. It does have superior ball quality, but right now Im focused on technique training so I'm trying to do a lot of reps of mid-power shots during training. With that power level it's hard to hit through the Q968 and thus has inconsistent feel, which is not great for training.

Luckily for you, I’m currently playing with both the Fan ALC and the Q968, both paired with Dignics 09C.

Regarding the handle feel, the Q968 is very slim and easy to grip for someone with small hands like me. The handle of the Fan ALC is relatively large and often makes it uncomfortable for me when switching between BH and FH.

In terms of looping feel, the Q968 is not as crisp as the Fan ALC, but it generates more spin. The ball tends to dip downward, similar to when you use a Hurricane 3–type rubber, although the power produced by the Q968 is weaker.

My backhand attack has very strong power and produces a low, fast ball when using the Fan ALC, but with the Q968, using the same way, the ball drops into the net — you need to open the racket angle a bit more.

Also, I feel that the Q968 has a larger head size, which makes it heavier and less maneuverable compared to the Fan ALC.

Just another question if i put hurricane 3 on FZD alc and Viscaria would there be a difference in any aspect.
I found FZD and H3 to be a better combo. It’s slightly slower, spinnier, more controllable and higher arcing than Viscaria, though it’s minuscule and you may not feel a huge difference

I personally feel H3 is easier to use on the Viscaria. When I play with tacky H3 rubber, I need more power, and the Viscaria gives me more force because it produces more rebound compared to the Fan ALC.

I — and many others in another thread — agree that the Fan ALC is the softest blade in the Viscaria family, and I feel it lacks a bit of power when paired with H3.

I think Dignics 09C would be better for FanALC.

I have a lot of power myself, which is why I like FZD more than Vis. But it’s all preference based imo

Yes, agree, Europeans are always stronger than Asian kaka
I’m actually Asian myself lol, but also relatively tall for a table tennis player at 185cm

Do you think the amazon butterfly blades are legit.I have gift cards so I want to buy it there but I'm not sure if there legit.
In my country, we don't buy table tennis equipment via commercial online platforms. We often buy them in the local store (of some favorite players), and We can know the actual weight after removing the plastic film, the wood quality of the blade, ...
We also prefer blades that are manufactured in China over those made in Japan.
