hey everyone, as stated in the title i recently noticed that my old rubber cleaner by revolution (bio cleaner & rejuvenator) actually makes my rubbers tacky!

i didn’t used it for many years and recently my other cleaner got empty and i had no time to buy a new one, so i used the revolution again. my sheet of vega x got tacky just by one clean. i could pick up a ball for a fraction of a second, the same like my bluestar a1 on the other side. it was so much that even a nonsticky plastic protector sticked to the vega x that was not able before. i couldn’t believe it, so i tried with different rubbers i had at home and it worked with most grippy rubbers! the only thing: the older and more beaten the sheet, the better it worked. with a totally new sheet of vega x it didn’t worked at all, it was just like a normal cleaner, with my old omega 5 euro it was even stronger and it felt like a hybrid after the clean.

if you used this cleaner, did you experienced the same?

I once had a buddy who had this stuff bring it to club. He played Chinese Tacky. Sprayed this on, could pick up the ball. That wasn't happening before.

I was convinced at the time that was the best cleaner one could buy. Now I just use water today but if I were to buy a cleaner, I'd probably try that one.

You mean the one in the bottle with the screw on cap? I thought it would "rejuvenate" the rubber but I didn't notice any more tackiness after use. However as a cleaner it works good. Using only 2 drops per side of rubber my bottle lasted me 3 years! The only downside is that tiny screw on cap. It was a nightmare making sure I don't lose it.

exactly this one. i used it first some years before i played hybrid rubbers. i think i didn’t noticed the light takiness before because i also did not had these protective foils at the time. but now i would say it makes the rubber the same tacky as a modern hybrid.

Yes, I do have this cleaner and I do not play with hybrid rubbers. My choice of rubbers is based on my physical fitness and level of play which is medium-hard rubbers. But I do notice that this cleaner makes the topsheet a bit grippy.
However, one question - which might be slightly off topic, but does this cleaner reduces the life of the rubber in any way? My apologies to OP, if I am asking a different question in your thread.
Thanks, KM1976

Yes, i use it (max 3 small drops) every 15 days on my Vega Pro rubber when the sheet lose his natural grip, and It became slightly tackier, ready for the next training session.

Maybe it works better on Xiom rubbers?

Yeah I had the same just last week, but it's not always that notciable for me.
When do you aplly it, right before usage, or after? Mabe that has effect on the tackyness.

Btw does this cleaner work for Sticky Rubbers or should I use water only?
(Plan to try Yinhe Rubber in a few weeks)

that would be my question too! i will try to use it as a regular cleaner for my newer vega x and will report back. but the tack it is creating stays permanent. i tried to clean it away but it stayed tacky, so it seams to react with the topsheet and not just creates a tacky film

i used it for a sheet of bluestar a1 that was beaten and it restored the tack. this with a tiny layer of falco booster can restore this beaten down sheet for some more weeks it seams!
