Hello,
I am 17 years old. I have been playing table tennis seriously for about a year, with 2-3 training sessions a week, and now sometimes event 4-5. Unfortunately, I am not really coached - just self - taught player. There is not much that i can change about it.
I do watch WTT events sometimes or other, more experienced local players to see how Tt is played at higher level, but still I have problems with my style. At practice we dont really do any drills, so my style have been shaped not in a technical way, but in order to win games, without thinking furthermore. Recently i realised that this is killing my development. I have time and will for trainings, I have different partners for training, but my style seems to be too "safe" - I dont want to risk so much, that my BH topsin almost doesn't exist. Ive learned to just get ball on the other side of the table, chop it a lil bit but i expose myself too often, and I am sure that I have to learn BH topsin better.
My FH is slightly more aggresive.
I think that in order to develop i have to risk more, even if effects wont be visible right after. My setup is really old and worn-out, so i have to buy new one. After hours of research I have found a prototype: Nimatsu Ardency 3, 5 All+ blade, Joola rhyzen cmd for BH and something like Xiom Vega pro for FH
I seek not only power and spin, but most importantly - chance for development.
Maybe some more experienced players will have some tips about my setup or how to correct technical flaws got from being self -taught?
Cheers for everyone reading!
