US buying from Dandoy tariff problem

Did anyone in the US buy from Dandoy recently? How did the custom clearance work? Did you need to pay for the tariff before delivery?

I bought from them not too long ago, and there was no shipping cost from Dandoy, but I was made to pay a $34 by UPS to get it in the country. I use TT11 now because they'll charge $17.50 flat rate for shipping to the US, no hidden costs.

Thanks for sharing your experience. That UPS fee is good to know about. Sounds like TT11 might be the more predictable option with the flat rate and no surprise charges. Appreciate the info!
