Somehow I feel that KNT ordered a dozen boxes to come up with a counter for Ito and they never expected her to fall on her own so soon after Tokyo 2020. As a way to dispose of these extra sheets in a re$pon$ible and $u$tainable manner, the brilliant minds there came up with that $pecial-ver$ion-for-player$ $ticker...

Or maybe it's all much simpler? The ball has changed over time and harder rubbers play better with this ball. Demand creates supply. Personally, I would buy a G1 with a hardness of 50.

Well, if that were the case, Nittaku would've released it for all markets, like with the max thickness that was released in 7/2021. The demand for 50° is likely not as high as thought.

For your better knowledge.
Herewith be informed that, unlike to other manufacturers native of Japan, Nittaku did opted for Shore O hardness scale, not Shore A.
