But seriously, I think Tibhar Genius was a poor name. I would be embarrassed to show it at a tournament...I would feel pressure to hit crazy, unorthodox touch shots and stuff.

My favourite blade names include actual player names: Ma Lin, Waldner, Persson, "Original", Anders Lind.
Holding my breath for when these top (male) players with somewhat hard to pronounce names become top 10 and get their own blades:

Rakotoarimanana (Morocco ITTF #144) His name already includes my favourite veneer.
Bourrassaoud (France ITTF #177)
Sgouropoulos (Greece)

I still think those labels should be used most for internal use, and they should give them more meaningful names for market them better. Especially all the numbers mean very little.

Given Matsushita and Nakamura have expressed that Japan is the most important market to them as a Japanese brand and how their focus is to become No. 1 in Japan first before expanding into the rest of the world, it's going to take a while before that happens. FWIW, their sales in Europe have picked up since 2021 after being in the red the previous 4 years.

ーー世界のリーディングカンパニーで、ある程度の潤沢な資金があり、会社の規模も比べようもなく大きいタマスに対して、立ち向かっていくのはなぜなんでしょう。しかも、ナショナルチームはバタフライ契約選手のほうが多い状況の中で、挑んでいく意味とは何でしょう。

松下　簡単です。やっぱり1番になりたい。タマスさんに勝たないと1番にはなれない。今は、蟻（あり）とかネズミが象に向かっていくようなものです。一匹のネズミではどうしようもないけど、千匹のネズミがいれば、象を倒せるかもしれない。いつ倒せるかわからないけど、倒しがいのある相手です。まだライバルになってはいないかもしれないけど、タマスさんに追いつき追い越そうと思えば、当社商品力も上がり、微力ながら卓球市場全体へも貢献できるのではないか、と思います。そういったタマスさんの存在には感謝しなければいけないと思います。
