One of a good blade from Butterfly

I used M.Maze ALC from 2011 to 2016.. It was a very fun blade to play with..

I tried different rubber combinations.. My faves were with T05 for its speed and loops.. DHS Skyline 3 in the forehand is very well for looping and short received, its more difficult to block speed incoming balls since a passive block will resulted the ball goes to the net, it needs an active shot with Chinese tacky rubbers...

It was suitable for hard sponges rubber as well as medium ones, maybe because of the softer outer layer that gives more dwell time and control.. Tried Stiga Boost TC and TS with it but seemed too soft.

A well play blade for close table attacks, service receive, short push, blocks, loops form 3 4 steps away from table, and I like the handle, its kinda different with my TB ALC, felt a bit bigger

My Biggest regret was I sold it to a friend, now I wanted it back, nowhere to find a new one since its being discontinued..

But then, I just bought Marcos Freitas last week because Marcos have been using M.Maze ALC for 10 years and now having his own blade with the same construction, but Freitas personal design..

See you in MF Review..

Great blade. It has great control and feeling whilst maintaining a strong element of control. Great for looping when using Tenergy.
I would recommend for more advanced players.

I bought a concave Maze 83g. I was looking for a blade in the lineage of Viscaria / JZK Dragon, but a little more "gentle" and the outer layer of Limba fills that role quite.

The Maze is dressed in Tenergy 2: T05 1.7 FH/ T64 2.1 BH

The finish is excellent, like all BTY blades . The concave handle is slightly longer and thicker than the Viscaria

fh / topspin, the blade seems very soft, as if I had a rubber of lower hardness.
The sound is also very present, more than on the Viscaria.

The grip and the game hit are relatively easy, relatively speaking.

Speed and rejection are similar to Viscaria (equal weight ).

An excellent blade for an attacker looking rotation, without sacrificing the block control, and power.

a blade for player with a good technical background, who will appreciate the enormous control.

Good blade for experienced players.

Limba - ALC - Limba - Ayous - Limba - ALC - Limba.

OFF blade (not OFF- nor OFF+), good feel for the ball, with sufficient power to put any ball away. Blade weight can vary from just over 80g to 100g or so.

Shame BTY seems to have stopped producing them, but there are plenty available second hand.

It's a quite expensive blade. But you get what you pay for. The blade gives you a lot of control while playing topspin. And in the short push you still have a lot of control. The carbon fibres make it quite fast.

This blade is my favourite.
It lasts very long, I've had it for 2 years. It has a very long trajectory, but when you pair it with the right rubbers you could still be able to play short spinny loops on the table. It also has very good feeling In the short game. To me, this is the perfect carbon blade. Not the typical one that's just really fast and leaves you no other option but attack, but it's really an all round offensive blade. Of course I'm giving this the full five stars, because it's my blade of choice, but this equipment rating can only be subjective :)

Any how, if you are on national level or higher and wants to play offensive with good control, this is a really good blade. If you're just a hobby player, you won't notice the feeling that much and feel it's just too fast.. This one requires some skill, but when you got the level right it is really good!
