A setup that is faster than Clipper CR WRB but much slower than RoseWood VII?

Hi everybody,

I have been playing table tennis for 3 years, but I have not tried many blades yet.

My style is
- Back hand: flick in the table, top spin outside the table, sometime push in the table too
- Forehand: push in the table, top spin outside the table - close and medium distance
I am quite fast and I am an offensive player.

I practiced with an old Clipper CR WRB (I bought it from another player) with a lot of broken spots at the edge. My rubbers are Calibra TL Sounds on both sides. My problem when using this blade in a match is that it is a bit slow so that my friends can always block my forehand top spin (he often plays close to the table) (I am not sure if it is because of my technique though)

Recently, I bought Stiga RoseWood VII, with Calibra LT Sound on forehand, Donic Acuda P2 on backhand. But it's too fast and I have much much less control than the Clipper CR WRB.

I recently also read a lot of reviews on Butterfly series, I would like to try one. So, I have some ideas for my setup but I can't decide

Setup1: Buy a new Clipper CR WRB with faster rubbers (what rubbers should I use?)
Setup2: Buy Timo Boll ZLC. I heard that TMB ZLC are faster than Clipper CR WRB. But I am worried if it's another Stiga RoseWood VII?
Setup3: Continue to use my Stiga RoseWood VII with slower rubbers (what rubbers should I use?)
Setup4: Basically, my idea is that, faster than Clipper CR WRB but not too fast like RoseWood VII and lose the control. Can I have your suggestions on a Butterfly blades?

Thanks for reading and Sorry for my English!

Thank you. I know money is hard to make but I can sell my RoseWood VII if needed. Haha :p
Though I care more about a combo that fits my need. I can't buy a bunch of blades to try, but 1 or 2 is ok.
I do try donic p2 on forehand and it's a really good suggestion, I have more control and spin on forehand topspin. I am not sure if I should try p3 too :D

Tbh I don't think TB Zlc is any slower than Rosewood. I'm not sure about Rosewood vs Clipper, but are you sure it's not just the feeling that's making you dislike it? It's a different wood afterall but I don't think it's supposed to be vastly faster than Clipper. If you think Rosewood is too fast I would not recommend Timo Boll Zlc, as both your tested blades are allwood, meanwhile Timo Boll is composite.
I think Calibra is a fairly fast rubber.. with that setup you should have no issues sending killer I belive, it's about execution.
I have also been playing Table tennis for.. well 3-4 years and I would guess you'd have to work on your speedy top end technique.
I would consider myself a third ball killer.. when the ball goes in. Let me tell you my thoughts;
If people are in position, they can block whatever, if they are familiar with your playstyle they more often predict where you will shoot. I don't know the exact settings you are struggling with but I would guess it's similar to mine.
Try to mix up your placement on killer shots. You should be able to send it wherever. If you send it right into someones bat not even Xu Xin killer shot will work. That's the risk you take when you use a "killer" shot. But it's nothing wrong with the equipment just because it's not the fastest. Now I don't know if your problem is the placement or the top end speed when you change placement, but that's both technique factors.
Use what you are most comfortable with (clipper?) and work on the placement first.
Alternatively send videoes of yourself playing then forum members can come with feedback, if you still think it's the equipment you can consider swapping. ;)

But you are still not used to the speed?
Yeah, it is too bouncy on the Forehand with Calibra LT Sound

RoseWood NCT V is actually not much different in term of speed and control with Clipper CR.
But RoseWood NCT VII is totally different.
You can compare the speed of 3 blades on Stiga website

Clipper CR - speed = 112 - control = 64
stigatabletennis. com/en/products/clipper-cr/

RoseWood V - speed = 113 - control = 64
stigatabletennis. com/en/products/rosewood-nct-v/

RoseWood VII - speed = 139 - control = 49
stigatabletennis. com/en/products/rosewood-nct-vii/

I am using RoseWood VII, it's rated as OFF+

Actually I tried using Donic P2 for my forehand, it increased the control a bit and I think I am ok with it. But fore sure I need to work on my technique more. Thanks for your advice!
