Just so you know, I found Vega Pro V to be too soft and mushy , where as Vega Pro IV was just perfect for me ...

Did you mean Omega? I don't think Vega has numbers. But Omega does.

Yes, my bad , I meant Omega Pro IV vs Omega Pro V ... not Vega, I confused teh V in vega for the V in Pro V ... too many permutations and combinations with with Xiom rubbers, Omega , Vega , europe , Japan , gets confusing ...

The Omega rubbers being a newer generation and a little harder to control, I don't usually recommend them to beginners even though they are good as a second tensor rubber when a player is ready to upgrade past an entry level tensor.

Interestingly, I much prefer Omega V over Omega IV. It just shows how so much of this is personal taste.

Coming from H8 I can see Omega V feeling soft for you. To me it feels like it has some aliveness. [emoji2]

It was the one time I put that rubber in my backhand around 2 years back , and back then I was comparing with Tenergy 05. I have always found 05 to be the best rubber for my backhand , especially close to the table interms of spin generated and the longevity , contrary to some people 05 used to last a long time for me , may be it won't now that I am more consistent and using my backhand more than earlier ... anyways so it was not H8 to Omega Pro V comparison but a tenergy 05 to Pro V comparison .... back then I was using Tenergy 05 on both sides in my main paddle.

In my new setup I have Omega Pro IV on the backhand and the boosted H3 on my forehand . However the blade is Long 5. The good thing about Long 5 is that the carbon layers are on layer futher deep and there is a lot of feeling from the blade , I guess also the Limba , Ayous plies with Ayous core has more flex compared to the Koto-Limba-Kiri combination in my main paddle.

since then I have wisened up to recognize the advantage of using Karis M on my backhand . Even though I very much like the counterlooping prowess of Karis H on my forehand , I might settle for a Boosted H3 on my forehand and Karis on my backhand, now that I have gotten into the world of boosting with a new bottle of Falco on my shelf . I like the boosted H3, even better than H8 or Karis H, because it has most dynamic FH rubber I have ever used .... H8 for its part lacked a little power at the top end is what I felt and Karis H isn't just spinny enough for me , even though I would agree or even go as far ahead as to say Karis H has counter looping abilities at par with H3 or even better .... infact it was good for over the table loops as well , for which Hurricane is especially famous ..
