The OP asked about compound (or complex) topsheet. Top sheet is the rubbery red or black part of the table tennis rubber. You have provided picture of the sponge. Complex topsheet is when you stack layers of rubbers on top of one another. Yinhe does that. Why? I do not know.

I dont think they do that, he is doing this just for fun I think

Yes they do, at least for Jupiter 2, too bad I through the rubber away. If this is the case for Big dipper as well it will be noticeable only after a bit of wearing down happened. I did not have that with my Big Dipper though.

Here is picture from a tear from my first sheet of Jupiter 2. I don't have this rubber anymore. That is the only picture I have left on my phone.

I got impression this whole thing is a joke, but in case it isn't and this picture helps you, give those 20 silver pounds to whatever charity you want.
It seems like a normal blue sponge with some glue on it

This is the real example we think to be an "explicitly complex topsheet"
Both the upper layer of silicone material and the underlayer of black rubber are clearly disclosed.

We expect to have more such photos from this forum members.

JUST A HINT.
-- YOU MIGHT TRY SOME RUBBER CUTTINGS TO DECOMPOSE, SO AS TO SEE IF THE SILICONE COATING IS THERE.

We are hopeful to have more such photos from TTD forum members directly.
