Well, that depends on when it was produced I think, I read somewhere that the old ones were produced in a different factory as the other Butterfly blades, and supposedly they were handmade, so who knows.

the golden is actually very solid in comparison to the normal version. it is very crispy and powerful when stepping away from the table.

Can't talk about 70th anniversary but can talk about Timo's double code personnal blade VS Golden Viscaria.

Timo Boll personal is similar but better in everything : more dwell, more control, feels softer (though it's supposed to be hard), spins more, but a little bit less powerful in the backhand. It seems that backhand is really designed for spin.

Viscaria Gold personal FZD of 2022 is very comparable to it though. I would say it spins a bit less, but is more powerful for hits (be it with spin or without). Block is significantly better as well if you close the blade properly. It's kind of a violent version of Timo Boll, because it feels harder. But loads of control and safety in this blade as well.

But all these 3 blades are gems, they're well above all the commercial stuff we're being sold.

(I actually was fortunate to be able to own and test many player personal blades, and I own the 3 models I talk about. I don't own Boll 70th and no plans to buy it)
