This is NOT a review of Rxton 9, just some quick first impressions.

After unpacking and side by side to a R5 the differences are there and they are weird. re R5, it was never revealed the actual hardness, it was simply given as very hard. The R9 is given as 40.5. Holding both of the rubbers in the hands the good old R5 still is a stiff as a brick but the R9 is limp, or soft and bendy.
R9 is as sticky as the very early R5 were.
First hit up, just as it came out of the packet with a couple of layers of Revo glue the rubber sure moves the balls along fast and I do not know how it does it because the blue sponge is quite hard when pressed with thumb and 1 finger and none of the strong catapult effects are there but somehow it works. The rubber also, for me at least, has a very similar "linear feel" that reminds me of the old hard 61seconds rubbers and also the PalioJC8000 one gets a comfortable feeling and the shots are easy to make and the control is brilliant.
Back home from the club night and time to boost......and here is where it all goes a bit weird. I did the first layer of Seamoon and after 8 hours there is a slight doming, as I expected. Doming got a bit more pronounced after applying the second layer but after 12 hours the doming had reverted back to what it was after the first layer : This is when I took the picture. There is no use to apply further booster because I had this happening to me before.
I also now remember why the blue sponge reminded me of some other rubber and now i got it ,the sponge is the same as on that weird R5 red rubber with blue sponge that was fitted to the 9 Star Racket from Loki .
More later , maybe 😂😂😂
