Hi,

I have tried several Chinese rubbers like Loki Arthur China, unboosted DHS NeonBlue Sponge, 729 Battle 2 Blue Sponge and several others.

I really like the initial tackiness, making it really controlable but still good power. But what I feel is, that the tackiness goes away after few session or some time. Dont understand me wrong it's still playable but not that controlable as the first times anymore.

So not to always get new rubbers. What kind of rubber can you recommend to me, who likes the first sessions with new Chinese rubbers, which are controlable but also lasts longer?

If it has to be Chinese H3 Neo is one of the most durable rubbers you can get but they are not as tacky as they used to be.

I've tried Yinhe Big Dipper and Jupiter Asia III and they also last a long time but again the tackiness does wear off.
If the tackiness is really important for you then perhaps others can recommend some that last better in that regard but a H3 Neo Provincial should be enough for a year and you just adapt to the rubber as it ages.

I know, most of them are still very well playable and durable but somehow the ball just doesn't dwell as long as if the rubbers were new.

With european rubbers the effect is also there but i believe because they are not that tacky to begin with, it's not that noticable. Maybe there is just no rubber that can keep their original tackiness for a long time

Yes it's a real thing and those who enjoy that added ability in the short game that the tackiness can bring really notice it.

I think most people just love the H3 and live with it without tack because of the amazing topspin monster that it is when boosted properly!

Somebody was talking about a 'tackiness' enhancer a few months ago actually....
I think it was member blahness.
Maybe ping him and ask about it if it sounds interesting?

Hi sky500. I had a thought and wanted to share it with you. Is it possible that there is something different about the environment that the rubber is in?

For context, I have used Battle II provincial for several months playing around 6 hours a week, and it is still very tacky and last week it could hold a ball for over two seconds upside down at the start of my practice (by the end of the practice it held the ball for less, ~1/2 a second).

Here's a list of things that might be notable for your situation:
  • Do you play in a really humid place?
    • (Then, maybe humidity is an issue)
  • Do you play in a very dusty place with dusty tables and floors?
    • (Then, the dust might be covering your rubber because it is tacky.)
  • Do you wipe down the rubber with a damp sponge after every practice and cover it with a non-sticky plastic protector for several hours afterwards?
    • (Maybe you can increase the tackiness by cleaning and protecting it in a different way)
  • Do you wipe down the paddle after every few rallies on your synthetic shorts or t-shirt?
    • (You need to remember that the tackiness means the rubber picks up dirt very easily)
  • Do you play more than a few times a week? Perhaps, do you hit extremely hard and flat hit often?
    • (Maybe you simply play too much and the rubber wears out)

Dignics05 and 80 last more than any other backside rubber I’ve ever had . Like 30% longer I’d say. So it justifies the price difference because the quality is better too
