Deborah Vivarelli for whatever reason just never got comfortable in MLTT. But she does much better in WTT. Her match with Lee Eunhye was much closer than I would have ever guessed:

its a long flight to USA,
and if they arrive the eve of the league match.... the player will never be 100%
if they arrive too many days ahead, the player will need to self fund costs.
so it is a difficult one.
I can have players arrive 3 or 5 days early to Germany and the clubs sorts out the costs.
USA cost is extreme btw.

Give me proof that they a centralized system like China or North Korea
You haven’t provided anything to back your barking
The issue isn't whether a system is centralized or not. Chinese or NKorean Centralization is not a doomed or inhumane project apriori. In fact, any sport organ or parastatal working under a federal/central government is already centralised. The very existence of bossess, HODs, and hierarchy is **CENTRALIZATION** according to individualist/egoist/anarchist theory, and this existence will always be a culture medium for possible violence, repression and expopriation of public goods.
I remember you conceded recently that's it's all about pros and cons. So-called independent systems have been outed to be rife with abuses, or decision making contrary to what the players want anyway, and can be more insidious. With China or even NK, you know what you get.

Besides, beneath all these systems, it's humans just like me and you driving everyday changes and dynamics.

WTT SCT Chennai 2025 will be remembered as a contest between bird droppings and "seed" droppings...

At least 7 out of 16 MS seeds are out before or in R16. Same for WS, 7 out of 16.
There's no need to hone into that tbh. They're a work-in-progress and things are getting better. China was once at this stage not too long ago ( maybe no bird droppings but overall quality of events/life).

China and India had comparable GDP at that point but no, China was never at this stage when they first held WTTC 1961.

The GDP of China and India since the 1960s

In KNY, Korea has a player that can beat Miu, Odo, and arguably Mima, and can give Miwa a run for her money.
I believe once Joo Cheonhui is fully integrated into the team, and Shintong develops her capabilities, they would threaten Japan. They still need one more player to step up though.

What's the point in rubbing it in though? We can try to be respectful, polite, and especially not try to fuel other people's biases and prejudices against our countries. India is definitely on the way up and there's no benefit in pointing out it's failures. I believe they'd do better next time.
This can happen to anyone btw, it just takes one person to forget to do his/her job. Let's cut them some slack. Apart from the bird droppings, it's been a good tournament overall.
We should applaud them for Choosing to host a Star Contender btw. There are richer countries still dropping the ball, and hosting Feeders and Contenders.
Maybe by 2030, they'd be hosting a Champions event.

i think you really need to investigate the amount of abuse that happens in these closed doors systems.
In the independent countries that has free media coverage... nothing will hide.

never the less, I'm waiting to hear how Germany is like China, because of its coach/selection decision for a tournament.

its easy to choose one narrative, but zieo goes quiet when he can't support any more claims to his narrative.
How is Germany like China or North Korea? its an easy question.

suggest zeio spends less time on tieba and more time on German forums or actually interact with German national team players.

Again, no federation on this planet are angels, but then again, players do have a lot of rights and if they are not happy with unfair treatments, they could share they frustrations and not fear getting kicked out or retired.

Can't keep up with all the drops here...

IIRC, the last time Hayata lost to a chopper was also at the hands of Hashimoto at the WTTC 2021 selection trial. Don't care about the T.League 2024/2025 where Hayata was losing left and right.

R16
Hayata 2-3 Hashimoto (6, 4, -4, -7, -10)

R16
Odo 1-3 KNY (-6, -8, 6, -6)
G2 63, 68, 811
G3 21, 23 TO for Odo, 116
G4 611
Like many others, Odo is excused here.

R16
Harimoto 1-3 Pucar (-9, -8, 13, -4)
Coton 3-2 Matsushima (9, -5, -8, 8, 8)

Congrats to Hashimoto for winning against Hayata 🔥I thought it was an unlucky draw for Hashimoto, but maybe she can go all the way now

Hayata's kind of loss is probably the most brutal. She wins the first two sets in convincing fashion. And struggles through the next three sets.

Those who were emphatic about Uda passing Togami have gone weirdly silent... no Tieba remarks to share?
Don't jinx it.

What if Togami were here? Whatever the reason, he made the right choice.

Amazing result for Hashimoto. Hayata has been strong vs choppers and looked like it was gonna remain the case but Hashimoto found a way to turn it around for the huge comeback.

Is the road open for her to take this title? Needs to get through Joo and then the winner of Diaz/DHK. Would Hashimoto be a fave against these girls?

Lol, Harimoto is out, and nobody is talking about it, or batting an eyelid.
Is this a new normal?
Pucar is a really good player on his day though. He has wins against Dima, ZQH or LGY ( not sure who among this two).

Big Chance for Lim Jonghoon to finally win a high rated tournament after a relatively quiet 2024. No Harimoto in his way this time.

Even though I'm a huge fan of Hina, I'm soooo happy that if anyone beat her this tourney, it'd be Hashimoto. Honoka deserves a chance to shine. For so many years I have marvelled at her mind boggling defense, her chop to attack transition, and beautiful footwork. The TT world needs to see her mastery of her art. Hina can rest up and prepare for next week's WTT Champions Incheon. It's all good. As for the road being open to take the title, there is that pesky Miwa in the other half. Just kidding .... love Miwa too, but ngl, I wanna see Honoka take the title too!

Hashimoto has beaten everyone that is not Chinese and none of these players are stronger against defence than Hayata. She has a chance.

The men's side is too crowded. I argued that Gauzy will have a hard time playing in LA 2028 with Poret and Coton coming up and the expert said I had no clue what I was talking about and that France doesn't develop good players as quickly as the Chinese. While there is room to stumble, I hope the expert can see that beating players like Matsushima and Feng is not a trivial level.

Come-on now with the bird dropping, India is not the first time it has happened to, and it won't be the last or only country to have this problem. Stop trying to make it an Indian problem, since bird dropping is a common problem around the world. here is just some examples

  • Carrier Dome (Now JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse, USA) – Despite being an enclosed stadium, birds have found ways inside, leading to droppings on seats and walkways, requiring frequent cleaning.
  • Toyota Center (Houston, USA) – Reports of birds entering through maintenance areas have led to droppings in seating sections and concourses.
  • Tokyo Dome (Japan) – Pigeons have been spotted inside, leaving droppings on upper-level beams and seating areas, requiring special cleaning efforts.
  • Rogers Centre (Toronto, Canada, when the roof is closed) – Birds occasionally get trapped inside, leading to droppings on high beams and concourses.
  • Caesars Superdome (New Orleans, USA) – Maintenance teams have had to clean bird droppings from rafters and walkways after birds entered through access point
  • Camp Nou, Barcelona, Spain
In 2021, reports highlighted severe hygiene issues at FC Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium, including pigeon nests and droppings. The accumulation led to unpleasant odors and attracted flies and mites, compromising the cleanliness of areas where food was prepared for supporters.
  • Vicente Calderón Stadium, Madrid, Spain
Atlético Madrid's former home, Vicente Calderón Stadium, faced persistent pigeon infestations. The birds consumed large quantities of grass seed intended for the pitch and left droppings that damaged the turf. To combat this, the club employed trained hawks to deter pigeons effectively.
  • Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland
While not a stadium, this case underscores the health risks associated with bird droppings in enclosed spaces. In 2019, two patients died after contracting a fungal infection linked to pigeon droppings within the hospital. Investigations revealed contamination in non-public areas, prompting a review of maintenance practices.
  • West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, England
Similarly, in 2024, West Suffolk Hospital postponed procedures after pigeon droppings contaminated a sterile room. Staff discovered that pigeons nesting in the roof had caused faeces to fall through ceiling tiles, leading to the disruption of medical activities.

It would be extremely helpful if you both can compile a list of shithole countries where ITTF & WTT should not be hosting events.

So that events can be limited to perfect places like China & most European countries excluding most non EU places like Turkey, Bosnia etc.

Is Nigeria OK ?
Congratulations on your first post. Welcome to TTD. My post did not mention anything about a country. I would say the same thing no matter which country this happened in. I prefer to watch and play table tennis without any bird droppings nearby. Thank you.
