1 coach tells me use ALC blade with 09c, the other says use 5 or 7 ply wood blade with tacky fh and soft (45-47 degree) on bh.

(This might explain why I ask so much about rubber sheets) :)

While I personally found Dignics on ALC a bit fast and uncontrollable I reckon you should follow the coach who suits you better and where you have the best communication.
Either of those setups is fine as long as you have a coach who is going to show you what you need to do to use it well.

How long have you been playing for (age + playing level) if you are just a beginner and he tells you to go alc d09c ditch that coach. If you are playing at a decent level and you are a young player then ditch my comment and chose the one that is willing to put more effort on you

I'm 64 years old. I've been playing on and off (due to injuries and surgeries) for over 30 years.

In that case it's a good chance that the 5 ply wood with a Rakza Z and Rakza 7 (that's your tacky fh and softon bh) will be better.
Ma Lin EO with those two rubbers is a setup I loved.
Using Dignics on Innerforce ALC now and it's definitely more work. If you don't have the athleticism or swing speed I can't see the point, better to save your money.

to recommend somebody with 64 years to play dignics 09c is ridiculous. former national players say its to demanding to traing and stay in shape for it with 40 years or something and somebody never having played in higher leagues is supposed to handle that setup.

For that very reason you asking for every rubber in the world will only make you worse, frenchfrog33. Stick to something controllable like Rakza Z & Rakza 7 on a 5 ply and just get used to it to improve your game. how are you supposed to know what your game is when every shot is lacking in consistency due to very demanding rubbers and blade?

Given your age and condition, I would not recommend anything physically taxing to use. The best setup for old timers would be a fast rubber on one side and long pips on the other. Something like an outer carbon, T05, and Tibhar Grass D.TecS. T05 would used as normal for pushes, smashes, drives and loops. This can be done on both FH and BH by twiddling. Tibhar Grass D.TecS would be for nasty serves, confusion, and any shots that mock your wrinkles.

There's no need to play head-on with someone more fit than you. Show the experience that came with age.

Yeah, double inverted won't do it at this age, you will just get bullied. Gotta go for LP or Anti lol
I see as many at that age using 2x inverted as I see using pips so it absolutely can be done. Sometimes it's more a question of ability and preference.
