Do you have link?
This is the one I am mentioning, a cleaner + life extending, like the REvolution 3 Cleaner and Rejuvenator. I think it works okay.
If your rubber is really bad, especially tacky Chinese. This works like wonder, completely turned my grayed out H3 National BS top sheet into a brand new one, and restored its tacky completely. Yes, literally magic.

I'm also interested in the link, but as another option I use the Rev 3 one here -

Really good at bringing tack back to chinese and hybrid rubbers, but it doesn't help with the battered appearance.
Like he said, if you want a cleaner and life +, I recommend rev 3 over the first link I sent. 2nd link is for life tacky restoring and appearance. I wish I have example but I don't have it with me anymore.

I tried a new set up last night - J&H C55 on FH and Vega China Hybrid Asia on BH, on a 5ply wood blade.

Vega China Hybrid - is great loved that super consistent - good at open ups, punches, spin, push - like seems great.
C55 on FH - im not sold. Ok only one session for a couple of hours but it did seem a little up and down. I think spin production not as deadly as H3N - certainly on harder shots. On slower loops though it was amazing and people often blocked off. But if i went hard into the ball like I do with H3N it came back pretty easily it seemed. This maybe the slower blade having that effect.

I hit with the C55 yesterday and don't like it. Far away from the table it has a nice solid click which tells me there's good grip and connection. However soft close to the table shots are not grippy. The rubber squeaks with soft spinny shots. Which tells me there is slip. That does not happen with tacky rubbers. And oh btw there is no tackiness. I don't know how people think it's tacky because it can't pick up a ball at all. Unless I got a factory defect it's not tacky.
ive had two training sessions and 3 games with it. I think off the table it is superb - but at the table its just strange

It doesnt like to me contacted with clothes. Sometimes i swiped it into my pants or shirts during play, ive never had this happened to me w other rubbers but the xiom c55. Look pretty dead but still plays normal. I started using one of those rubber cleaner that has some oil for rubber life extending i got from aliexpress. It starting to look darker
I have this exactly same situation with my D09C. Nothing bigger though.

been playing for a week now with J&H C55 on forehand and about a month with Vega Pro Hybrid on backhand. combination is great, if not even perfect game wise but am a bit concerned about C55 durability ... it has some 12-15 hours of play in it, half of it doubles (albeit during the national amateur championships with quite some abuse on the way to the finals, but still) - it looks pretty beat ... playability and grip are still the same as when it was fresh out of the box, but looks pretty beat. I love the combo, so I wish this won't affect the durability - even though the rubber is amazing I can hardly imagine getting new C55 every month ...

as for the impressions on C55 - I don't have much bad to say. lots of control, great feel, super spin, allows me to take some counterspin of the table as of the midrange (don't go off to far, though, I feel the strongest at the md distance). openups with brushing, with proper placement opens tactical advantage (if the ball is returned at all), serves are actually the spiniest ever), openups with 70/30 spin-power ratio are also pretty damage-inflicting on the opponent and when going for counter topspin I think there is still a lot of spin in the ball if I let the sponge engage (I tend to go into the sidespin territory at mid distance and I see how much more curve the ball has than to anything I had before). and, maybe this was just daily form, but I was never able to counterblock (where you block the ball, but add topspin on it) as effectively on forehand as I can with this rubber. and just because of this part I am thinking of putting C55 on backhand as well, as this is one of my stronger BH qualities, where I just counterrotate the ball and pushing opponent into defence with it. I think it would be even deadlier stroke with this rubber. but - durability!?

also, did anyone compare C55 with Omega 8 China?

I got a used sheet of O8 China from eBay a few weeks back. Look very worn already, can't be more than a month old, but this is how a lot of the hybrids are these days. Still plays ok.

The pips, although still short, are taller than C55, sponge is obviously softer. Adds up to a softer feel across the board, more catapult in the medium gears, Definitely loses something in the top end, but I found it easier to go loop-loop with China. I was sending the ball long when attacking over the table at first because it adds more catapult than C55 in that 60% effort zone, but after adjustment it's fine. I'm not sure if it's better for my game overall than C55, and who knows how Omega 8 Hybrid factors into this as well?

hm, interesting. I already think that C55 plays a lot, and I mean A LOT softer than 55 hardness. I had Omega 8 Pro prioer to that on forehand and I think C55 plays at least with same softness. yes, during warmup drives you can tell you are playing with a hard(er) rubber, but during open play, it doesn't feel 55 hard. more 47-48 hard.

I have my other eye locked on Hybrid mostly ... and am looking forward to try it. but honestly, if I can get half a season out of C55 I am willing to pull the trigger to have it on both sides. Omega series I can get 10-15€ cheaper which can be a difference of one rubber at the end of the season ... and if I add Vega Hybrid series into account, it's even cheaper and am really satisfied with Pro H on BH, but would wish for a tad bit liveliness in lower gears when trying to flick or do something more in the short game - and C55 checks all this.

Can you take a photo of its current state?

I'm half tempted to go double C55 for price considerations, but I'm pretty happy with the O8C on the backhand. Having some trouble in the lower gears on both sides, so I have to make sure my shots are more active. 3 months at 10-15 hours a week is pretty good for me. Haven't had a drop off yet with the O8C.

It has been several months since the thread started. Anyone has insights about C55 durability?
It seems to last long enough for Hugo to beat LSD😇

Sorry just had to get this in 😛

I know a friend playing c55 on his backhand and a couple of months he says it is still good. But he boosted it lightly.

It's good. Looks bad, plays well for a normal duration, nothing overly to worry about apart from the visuals

C55 durability is not even close to D09C.

I played with C55 I think 5 weeks during the season, the removed it, after season put it on again, and I got 3-4 weeks of it. Even outside looking players recognized there is less spin. So not only it was worn, but it also lost the spin very seriously. I am writing this mostly to balance the shit I read here, of course mine is just as personal as yours ;-)

The top-sheet and overall feeling is also very different from D09C, at least for me. I like C55 much more, but perf/price ratio is bad. Actually what would interest me if someone could compare NUZN 55 with it, I think it was @vvk1 who said the durability is excellent.
