Try Nittaku DHS H3 (NR-8669) if you can find it. Japanese sponge, H3 topsheet. Slightly lower spin and danger levels than H3N BS, but is a bit easier to play, stays the same for months, no need for booster, cheaper, and close enough that only minor differences can be felt. No changes in technique are required, so if you don't like it, you can switch to H3N BS after wearing out a sheet.

There is also Nittaku DHS H3 neo (NR-8701), but this is chinese sponge (OS). Plays amazing with 2-3 layers of booster, but is playable without it as well. You can probably find it a bit cheaper than prov H3N.

I personally don't understand how someone can switch to tensors after getting used to H3, but if its all the same to you, then go with G1 because imo, its the best bang for buck rubber from ESN.
this! Nittaku's version, how could I forget this one!
it's like - DHS said we will make regular, and Nittaku said ok, then we make same, but boosted. deal? deal. :)

Globe 999 1.8 mm is the answer.
Ве sure to get blue sponge 40 degree from Aliexpress vendor.

Be happy all.

I am sorry, but you are wrong ... firstly, Donic Bluestar A1 is far from Hurricane. it is extremely fast (probably the fastest rubber I have ever played), it is a slingshot almost! completely non-tacky/sticky. good rubber, though, if you are a competitor and play every day. but completely different ballpark. different universe, even.

C55 being demanding? c'mon, have you even played with this rubber? this is one of the best rubbers made in last couple of years. great control, the right amount of speed, amazing spin but most of all - it gives you power when you need it. C55 is teddy bear in comparison to H3N, H3N bites you if you are not 100% on the ball, if you miss the timing, C55 is your friend, it helps you. it is not the same as H3N, but if you want - a few ballparks closer to H3N than Bluestar A1 ... it is close to Dignics9c, but for me, much better to play with than D9c and D9c is already quite amazing.
Well. I described my impression of the two rubbers (A1 and C55), which is totally subjective. This can't be "wrong". You might have a different impression, which I will not comment.

I have tested both rubbers even on the same blade, have quite some experience in material testing and therefore believe that my impressions are not out the world.

It is not the first time, that people playing the same rubber have different impressions. It so much depends on the blade, the technique and the experience of the player recognizing differencies in material.

I completely agree - it is quite subjective, as we all have unique arm with unique feeling ... I mean, in the end, most of the table tennis players praise Hurricane, but I say it is a very demanding rubber (and I personally really don not like it). most people say Xiom Vega Pro H is a slow rubber, but I say it is slow as much as you want it to be and as fast as much as you want it to be. so yeah, I agree with you and I apologise if I came a bit harsh to disregard your view of rubbers ... in the end, we are just trying to help someone find the right rubber. :)

says forehand go brbrbrrrr
those ESN rubbers are factory boosted. After 2 weeks the booster will die and you're left with a 50% performance rubber with worn out topsheet. Then you'll back to boosting the H3 one more time, while coming back to TTD asking the same questions.

What's wrong with keep using H3? is it really a deal breaker for you considering you enjoy it quite a bit?
Not really a problem, it's just that i find the boosting process really expensive, since i would have to change sheets every 3-4 months, and i'm not sponsored, that choice isn't for me lol.

I wouldn't mind using the H3 Neo again, i would like to know any alternatives.

I switched to Andro nuzn 55 from H3N boosted blue sponge, and I like it a lot and would recommend it, but the adaptation period could be long as i am still going through it haha
I would love to try Nuzn 55, but for a rubber it's too pricey for my budget, and i'm worried for the durability of hybrids. I've heard it plays somewhat better than the C55 by Xiom, which isn't that durable based on the posts in the forum.

Hey! From what I tried, I did not find a full replacement H3. You can try Loki Arthur China. This rubber can be played without boost, because the sponge itself is alive, the topsheet is sticky and bites the ball, the price will also please you. These are not european rubber, also chinese, but at least without a booster.

Durability seems to be no issue to me. It still plays great after a month

I'm looking at V15 sticky lately
one of the players getting sponsored, and victas esn crew flew in from Germany to help the player test rubbers.
I'm curious what your thoughts are on it or how it's received by that player. After reading a lot of mixed opinions on this forum for v15 sticky but then seeing a lot of good impressions from some chinese players I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoy it. When I play a harder topspin especially - going into the ball felt a lot more 'familiar' with how alive it came. Playing slower and touchier with it was more pleasing to me than other 'hybrid' rubbers I've tried and I had more feeling with it than some others.

still in progress
test was yesterday
samples was received the day before.

got few customized versions, will require some time to test,
yesterday was testing the different hardness.
they were so thorough, even asking questions on how the player glues, how much glue used etc

That is so interesting. I hope you can share more about the testing procedures and the impressions that you and the player had from v15 sticky. thank you

Intrigued by what customised versions exist but are not commercial.

Are you in a position to tell us all the differences being tested?
