It might, because hinoki is quite soft. With viscaria type blade I felt the special medium hard version to be too hard. It felt like the topsheet doesn't have enough time to do its job. With W968 which is quite soft it is much better. So if your hinoki top is thick and soft it might be a good match.
thanks. i think i will give the HD a try.

Hello everyone, a little time has passed and I can tell you my impressions of this rubber.
For its money, this is a very decent non-sticky and really dynamic rubber. Firstly, it is fast, it is really faster than G1. Secondly, it has a low weight with a fairly hard feeling from the rubber - my YHD weighs only 46 grams, which is comparable to Glayzers. Thirdly, it is not sensitive to incoming spin.
Initially, I wanted to use this rubber for the backhand, but it did not suit me for the backhand for two reasons - a low throw angle and short dwell time and due to this rotation. According to these parameters, the rubber is more suitable for playing forehand. I'll try to play with this on the forehand.
What's interesting is that I gave my racket with YHD to players who are below my level to try and they really liked this rubber.
In general, it's a fun rubber, thanks to @Zwill for recommending it to me!

2nd training with normal el cheapo version of hovering dragon on FH. Blue sponge, very light and all but even on the first training I felt something weird but couldn't put my finger on it. 2nd training the ball ripped the topsheet. The YHD has a thin topsheet but this copy I have has uneven thickness. On FH top side it's normal thickness on the bottom edge it's thinner. So I guess this is what I felt. Seems like the more expensive versions are worth it.

Yasaka bold dragon is like sticky hovering dragon
Does anyone know how the Yasaka rubbers in the "dragon" series for the chinese market relates to the Yasaka Shining and Rising Dragon 2 here in Europe?

Bolo Dragon :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Thunder Dragon
Psych Dragon
Hovering Dragon Dynamic edition

Out of those, which one is most similar to the typical euro hybrid, aka it has at least some "trampoline effect"?
