Butterfly Zyre 03

Because there's great alternatives in H3 provincial and even national that don't cost half as much. Those player editions are ridiculous.
In Lithuania, H3 national costs 97 Eur, H3 provincial - 60 Eur. Alternatives (Battle III or Battle II) - with shipping to China about 30+ Eur. By the way, the "alternatives" are still significantly behind even the H3 provincial in terms of features. That's why I still stick to the same: Zyre's price is not "cosmic", 10 Eur (EU) more expensive than Dignic's - I don't see any "crime"

Our season starts at 3.10. It might arrive on the same day I play or it will arrive for the 2nd week..
I already play d09c on one side g09c on fh and my d09c is due to change (been playing for 9months)

But my blade is already quite fast so not sure if I would enjoy this rubber. Thoughts?

A friend that tried (pro) it told me that it Zyre03 is a "demanding" rubber and requires a good motion, from legs to waist and arm, otherwise a lot of balls will end up to the net or out of the table, so although is closer to D05 as a rubber, on the play has more similarities to D09c than to D05. If this is the case then a "sticky Z03" will be even more demanding rubber. We will see.

That's double what I pay on Aliexpress... Whoever charges that is the criminal in this story.
Europe for some reason always overprice H3. I made the mistake of buying my first H3N Provincial Blue sponge from TT11 before I realized Prott and aliexpress exists

I'm sure somebody here in the forum will handle the tacky topsheet and even and harder sponge LOL

Geraldo posted a vid on his instagram. It looks like he is using (or testing) 2.5 on forehand and 2.7 on backhand.

STIGA has a rubber of similar concept, with sponge 2.6 Мм thick named after Truls Moregard. Not for sale as yet.
Show must go on, anyway. 🤓

My post was in the direction of a Pro that is not using the max thickness of his forehand. That’s something to think about.
Maybe he's testing both thickness to decide which one to choose. But this is an economical idea from the perspective of a non-sponsored player who can't just get two blades with both thicknesses of a new rubber whenever I want 😂

I'm amazed by the number of veterans who are playing recreationally and are lining up to spend 90€ for a rubber.
I guess that they are so competent and proficient, that they max out all other ESN rubbers and are looking for the one that can match their high level...

Check POFEPA's FB page (a Greek TT veterans page), there are 2-3 ads for Zyre03! And this is because in Greece "veterans" have the money to buy it.

As TT in Greece is not popular at all, clubs with youngsters doesn't have any sponsorships, a parent cannot afford to pay 3-4-5 Zyres03 that their kids might need for the whole year. Too many expenses, too low salary. So in Greece only Pros (sponsored or not), and veterans with nice salaries can afford them. As a matter of fact ONLY a handful of the ~3000 members of POFEPA might be able to use Z03 properly!

This looks crazy, it looks like more sponge then blade.
The new trend is here: We need thicker blades, for sure, at around 100 grams

Yeap!! And physiotherapist for after each practice and match! TT becomes more and more "money hungry"!!!

:p :p :p

do not underestimate the power of unkerz and unteez. They can buy two sheets of Zyre every month. They are the true customer of Butterfly.

Meanwhile little boys and girls continue to use Xiom Vega. Pappy & Mammy happy...
