Hi Friends,

My current setup is this

My Forehand Rubber Razka 7 2.0 mm
My Backhand Rubber Vega Europe 2.0 mm
My Blade Yasaka Sweden Extra

I have been planning to explore a new blade surely differently from my current setup to feel inner carbon. SANWEI 75 Inner ALC

I am wondering about the Rubber setup. I am up to try some tacky Chinese rubbers, I did play with Hurricane Neo 3 earlier. Now in my current setup Razka 7 so was wondering if you have any suggestion for alternatives suggestion for FH and BH rubbers.

Thanks,
Coolchap

to put it bluntly your second blade will only hurt you. whatever justification you are trying to fabricate here, it will not make you improve. Hurricane rubbers are harder to play and activate and carbon is harder to control on more powerfull shots. The only thing that will happen is that you will be tempted to "try" it in training and totally mess up anything you learned before and things that work with the rakza 7 wont work with a hurricane.

there is really no point to getting an alternative blade. The grass is not greener on the other side. Get your own lawn in shape first before watching somewhere else. There is plenty of things to learn with your current setup.
In video game terms: you are currently inside the tutorial on newbie island and now you want to skip everything and go to the endgame and fight a high level boss without you even knowing what all the keys and buttons on your gamepad or keyboard do and when to use them.

That money would be way better spent in system training.

I suggest you don't change at all until at least next summer. Maybe fresh rubber, but the same ones.

Every change you make will require time to get used to, and will slow your progress which you are steadily making right now.
Let alone picking a blade that's just harder to hit through, and fast on the surface, which is just going to block most progress in terms of acceleration, swinging relaxed through the ball.

Do you want a new blade, or do you want to improve?

Id play devil's advocate.
Ej-ing is fun if u have money to spare.
Exploration of equipment is part of the game, U either find something u like, or don't. Either way, U still can adapt to it

Thanks for that side of the story. As of I am now sticking to my paddle for few more months, in between I am sure I will get the urges of Ejing again and again.

Trying to learn and be better at one stroke at a time as I can play many of the strokes but not good/great technically. So just going one at a time.

Current one is Banana Flick!
