so everyone should play the way you decided it has to be?
its not ping commentator deciding, but rather between choosing honestly, or piggy back on umpires mistakes, most will choose the former - honestly and sportsmanship.

umpires makes too many mistakes in pro level, and most players do acknowledge edges and what not.
There are a few that do not and turn a blind eye quite a few time. It is clear that list now has one more name on.

Its not about right or wrong but if the player feels the opponent deserves the point and that it shouldn't be affected by poor umpiring, then the player will actually give the point to the player that won it. It's just that simple.

Ying Han vs Chen Yi 3-1 (4,9,-9,2)

G2 7:2, 7:8, 9:8, 10:8 (CY missed a sitter), 10:9 (net cord for CY), 11:9 (CY missed another sitter)
G3 9:7, 9:9, 9:10 (Han made a push error), 9:11 (Han missed a FH counter)

During their previous encounter at the Europe Smash CY easily won 3-0. Today, it was quite a reversal. Han was very aggressive with her FH counter and it had a lot of power. In fact, it was much better than what I remember from previous matches. Amazing performance by Han 🔥

Han is leading 2-0 in the H2H against CXT, so Han has a decent chance of making the SF if she plays like today.

Over 1.80cm, but not 1.85cm. I guess 1.81 or 1.82. Likely the tallest national team woman player ever.
WMY's official height is 1.77cm. Standing side by side, CY is clearly 2 or 3 inches above Wang.

QTY is another tall girl, a backhand oriented player with weak forehand, a crafty playing style but lack of explosiveness and killing power. CY is a different type of long legged girl who is explosive, fast with powerful forehand and solid backhand.
QTY has limited ceiling which she's already reached and on the way down while CY has much higher ceiling and still climbing.

CY's game has another important element, mental toughness and calmness. With proper coaching and hard work, CY can reach the level of WMY. She is just that talented.
Please retire CY

No changes to the match. It would be fascinating to do an experiment where Jang was raised in China and we see how his game turned out (Chinese coaches always say this about the top Nigerians lol). You don't get players as fast as Jang growing on trees. He ans An might very well have been World Champs playing for China lol...

And on a side note, not sure who is doing the KNT backhand coaching but there seem to be improvements across the board...

Did anyone get to watch the Miwa vs. Odo match? It was on too late for me to watch. I think Miwa's been playing too many tournaments. Even playing Chinese Super League prior to Macao. In any case, a great win for Satsuki.
According to experts, no one is playing too many tournaments

It's her choice (or maybe it's her father pushing it), but as the highest ranked Japanese woman, it's not necessary for her to play Contenders where the top Chinese do not play.

Nope, Miwa's recent losses have to do with her getting bullied by her senpai. 2025 has been a poor year for Kinoshita players, especially Hirano and Miwa. Things went south for them after ATTC 2024.
