not sure if thats an uninteresting topic for most people or not but i actually think alot about small things like that.

im am talking about those ''logos'' and whatnot that are on every blade. whenever its a metal plate or something printed behind a plastic cover. For me somehow its quite a sensory thing and i really do not like feeling those plastic covers or engravings with my fingers while playing, especially on my pinky. So when i use any blade the ''regular'' way ? is that a thing? that the logo on the handle is the VH side, my pinky will always sit on it or touch it and it distracts me from the rest of the handle wich just feels like wood.

therefor i always turn the blade arond and bury the logo in my palm so i have to feel it less.

can people here relate to this? how are you approaching it? is it just me who think it feels awkward when you re in a match and your pinky touches some plastic all the time? makes me even wonder that i would prefer blade handles with zero logo or engravings on and just wood... and then put the logo on the bottom for example, where my hands dont touch it.

Lens side oh the backhand rubber. I’m bothered by it, especially the edges of it. Don’t get the point of the protrusion. I think something like a butterfly Lin Gaoyuan with the smaller lens or no lens would be ideal. A cap at the bottom is fine, just not on the handle.

That said, the DHS Fang Bo B2 has lens on both sides, but I like it more than Long 5 which is maybe why I never felt bothered. Also maybe cause I never played with it as long as it was borrowed from someone.

During a game my brain is much too busy to worry about things like that . During training or just mucking about I can sometimes feel the plastic lenses but only if they have been fitted erratically............and they often are. Then there is always sharp edges where the lenses are either to deep or stick out. Nasty !!!

Normally I don't notice the tag too much, but I just got a Sanwei Fextra 5 for a beginner buddy of mine and the tag on it is a thick, raised plastic, VERY noticeable. One of the few blades I would definitely turn around to have the tag be the backhand side/resting in the palm.

ugh plastic? i thought it was metal with black paint.

unbothered since I am a penholder. But even if I hold it in shakehand it doesn't do much, if at all. I think it's because the engravings on my Korbel is covered by a plastic layer, so I don't feel no braille, just a smooth plastic cover.

It's on the forehand tho. I always put the side with the logo on the forehand side, more organized lol

Butterfly blades (at least some of them) have logo on one side and a small round transparent thing on another like this:
Capture.PNG

And if I place logo on the BH side, I have this round thing on the FH side not covered by my hand. And lights sometimes refracts/reflects from it, when I perform bh loop and it really distracts me. So yes, I have logo on the FH side

i do the same thing... logo goes into the palm as well.. don't like the fingers touching the lens... spot on !
