There was a party held at the hotel, Kerry Hotel Hong Kong?
https://weibo.com/5613553185/QhtfgAdjz
Players were wearing a mix between formal and casual with the European players wearing suits and the asian players wearing casual other than a select few such as WCT and AJH. So just wondering whether there was a dress code or something they had to follow.

I know Badminton BWF Finals got something similar but all the players have to wear formal dress code.

Income Tax of 24% on prize money seems a gross robbery. My sincere compassion for all those involved inhere. 🤑

WTT Finals Hong Kong-2025 is organized by the Chinese Table Tennis Association under the auspices of World Table Tennis (WTT) and will take place from 10 to 14 December 2025. The prize mpney for medalists is set at $1,300,000.
This elite event will feature only the top 16 players and 8 mixed doubles pairs from the WTT Series season and will be played on a single show table over five days.
The competition includes three events: men’s singles, women’s singles and mixed doubles.

Participants

The WTT Finals features men’s and women’s singles as well as mixed doubles, held together in a combined event. The top 16 players of the year and the top 8 mixed pairs qualified for this season-ending tournament. Qualification was based on players’ results throughout the WTT season and reflected in the ITTF Table Tennis World Rankings.

Playing Format

Both singles events follow a straight knockout format.
The mixed doubles event begins with a group stage featuring 2 groups of 4 pairs. The top two pairs from each group advance to the next round.
The second stage is played in a direct knockout format.

Anyone that is watching the Youtube stream right now have you noticed the quality is a bit different than usual. Like certain camera angles the stream looks not as good.

Yeah.. something wrong with the stream quality.. unbelievable.
Same thing happened when the WTT Champions Event was hosted in South Korea certain camera angles on the Youtube stream the picture seem a bit fuzzy.

I’m watching it from a different source and there wasn’t any issues with the difference in quality in certain camera angles so something is wrong with the way WTT are streaming the Youtube stream for this event. They had no issues with recent Champions and Smash tournaments. Maybe they using the same people from the South Korea Champions event.

I took a look at the Youtube stream. The problem has to do with the original interlaced source feed (1080i for OTA TV) that should be de-interlaced for live streaming (1080p for any other electronics that expect the progressive format, e.g. computers/smartphones/tablets).
