Hi, after the tests it looks like there is a formula which covers all test I did so far.
I used original app on the android phone and took BT logs

Top-rpm = 970 + (630.5 x Speed) + (342 x Spin)
Bottom-rpm = 970 + (630.5 x Speed) - (342 x Spin)

and that means:
spin = (Tw - Bw) / 684

New version of the Webclient is in the works. RPM parameters will be replaced with original app speed/spin settings.
This way any defined custom drill in the app can be directly configured in the Webclient.

but important: steps of 0.1 for spin/speed!
Or Range from 0-100 for user input. I think this is more user friendly than the decimal point.

I would rather stay in range 0-10 to keep app compatibility. Also next version will have 0.5 step to simplify development. I will look into 0.1 steps later.

I just acquired my pretty new Nova and I’m doing my very first tests. While the robot connects correctly to pngbot app, I’m unable to link the bot via Bluetooth if it is not using the original app. Not even able to see the device in my phone. Any advice please?

you must use Chrome browser on your phone. no Opera no Brave no Edge no Firefox no Supermium no etc.
you must turn on GPS signal (Location signal)
refresh\reload the Chrome webpage with F5 several times. The nova should appear in the Chrome page as popup.

Lemme sprinkle the thread, here and there, now and then, lol, with tidbits of photos addressing the Nova build quality. So far, nothing has broken (well, not true .. but that's for another tidbit hehe), so in all fairness i shouldn't cry out loud. Tidbit#1 is showing a plastic screw post 🧐:

Calibration in the original app. Based on Bluetooth trace:

• Left/right calibration changes drop point values by 1 or -1
• Up/down calibration changes ball height settings values by -1 or 1

Drop point coverage has no influence on commands being sent.

what did you do that it broke?

i had ordered from a dubious alix vendor shop. there are several indications that the warez was already broken before the time of shipping, maybe due to a sturzunfall at someone else's warehouse. maybe the vendor got broken FREE warez from his source (supplier or manufacturer) and is now cashing in thru the insurance of the shipping company, blaming the damage to transport/handling during transit. 🤑

alibaba is not the same as aliexpress. My vendor is legit. I ordererd already a omni s from him and everything was perfect.
i still have to wait for the white nova. it will arrive in february 2026...

Thanks @plunder for kicking off this thread in the first place.
I have a couple of questions about the app made by @olanga
Apologies in advance if these have already been answered. I've skim-read the entire thread, but it's pretty extensive so may well have missed what I'm looking for.

- First up, am I right in thinking the app doesn't work on a iphone? I can't get it working through mine.

- I used a laptop to launch the app via chrome instead. I was able to connect to the robot, but couldn't get any of the drills to run properly *except* for the 'shared drill example' which I downloaded via the code JOB857. This drill fired some balls, but I couldn't find anything else that did. There was no error message, and the screen showed a countdown of some sort suggesting the app thought the robot was doing what it should.

- I also couldn't see any way to add or modify drills.

I feel like I'm missing something fairly obvious, but can you help me work out what I'm missing?
