Has anyone here tried both the Andro Nuzn 48 and the Tibhar Hybrid MK? I'd like to hear your thoughts on how they compare (weight, over the table catapult ect), as on paper they seem extremely similar

I put a 2.1 mm black Nuzn 48 on forehand and a red 1.9 mm on the backhand on my basalt blade from Soulspin.
I was swithcing from Stiga DNA Hybrid M on both sides. Even tough the DNA is 2.2 mm sponge the blade come in at 199 grams with the Nuzn 48 Vs 196 gram with the Stiga rubbers. Playing wise i feel the touchplay was a little better with nuzn than with the Stiga, but it was not a big difference for me. The speed is around the same, but with the nuzn 48 the ball has a dip the end. I was expecting to shoot long, but both me and my opponent was supriced by the dip. If i compare to Yasaka Shining Dragon both DNA Hybrid M and Nuzn 48 is faster with more spin, with the rubber from Yasaka Excels in more control.

I hadn't used an ESN rubber in a long time. I tried Nuzn 48 maybe 5 times, then took a full 3 weeks off, then used it again at least a couple times. Originally it felt surprisingly soft, kind of fun to use overall but not very lethal. After the break it felt different, hardened up over time, still not a bad rubber but more basic. It gave me the impression that it was the stereotypical factory boosted ESN scenario. Afterwards I switched to a lightly used D05 on the same blade and it was night and day, more spin, more power, more resistance to spin, more everything. Is what it is..

I play the nuzn 45 since it came out here in Germany and that stopped my 4 years lasting EJ-ing.
It is a fantastic rubber, very easy to play with my injured shoulder, very long lasting topsheet (sponge had to be reboosted after 10/12 weeks) not very spin sensitive and good overall performance for me though it can't exceed in anything.
There is some lack of power or you have to work harder. Played only a couple of times with other bats and the power of other rubbers is temping and fun to play in training. But as soon as I am in a match I can see my error rate going up, so I will at least play the N45 until both of my sheets are worn out...

Great report! Do you play it on both sides, and with what blade?

Only on forehand side.
Blade is homemade (Limba-abachi-Polypropilene fiber-Kiri) though it's 89g it's on the slower side, soft touch but stiff.
There isn't really anything to compare.

With N45 first topspin is easy, short game is safe and blocking as well. It's not bouncy but very linear.
For most people it will have the downside of being slow and the max. rotation is only average.

Would be interesting to know what you have paired it with on BH. Today, I tried flipping by bat to try out my Tibhar Hybrid MK FX on backhand. Immediately felt better in all aspects than my normal BH (Vega Europe) – More Control and more gears in all directions.

How do you compare Hybrid MK FX to Vega Europe H (Your FH rubber).

Cheers

Estonia belongs to the European Union like Germany and Sweden also do.
Therefore there is not any tax or import fee for you.

Oh, I have forgot to change my signature. I played the Euro H on a blade donated to me, that I haven’t played for some weeks, so it’s hard to compare. Will try it out next time again, but my feeling is that it was a much more “dead” feeling. Less catapult, even when hitting hard, so less dynamic than MK-FX and rather a purely defensive rubber. But! I have evolved since then, so I will give it a chance again. Right now I like the feeling of MK-FX som much on both sides (twiddling, in order to try), that I will probably try out the Nuzn on the other side.

Am I right in the assumption – or rather feeling, from reading these threads – that the Nuzn rubbers are also hybrids in the sense that they are slow/un-catapulty when playing soft and without much power (short game), ant gears up a bit with tensor-like feeling when putting some speed behind? That’s the feeling I get from the MK-FX, and from trying the K1.

Well, this is a rather "soft" hybrid. It feels more tensorish than for example the G1 IMO, but less than a proper tensor. I think the harder hybrids are closer to the description you mention. I think nuzn is much faster than the previous hybrids from what I can recollect in the forum. I find the short game with G1 way easier.
