No . Chire Koyama

Congrats to Miwa. If it wasn’t obvious yet she’s the best Japanese player. Somehow Hayata could still get her until now but no more
She definitely is the best Japanese player at the moment. The times she had to face Hina without a coach and lose most of the time so the opportunity to have her dad being able to coach her during the match prove vital.

And yet Miwa's brother refuses to work with his dad. A trust issue. Could be why Miwa's style is more FH-oriented.

I think he can maybe win 1 or 2 games but I think Sora will end up winning the match in the end.

Who’s coaching Sora, is that his dad?
I thought Harimoto played one of the best matches I have ever seen him play and lost a close one in the 7th, Shinozuka will have to get lucky to win 1 and use voodoo to win 2.

I wonder why. Maybe doesn’t want to affect on the father and son relationship.

Honestly I feel like his dad will say more things to him than Kishikawa. He barely says anything to him and I wonder if that affects his performance.

That coach , Koji Iriyama, has been with him since he was a kid.

I wonder if Matsushima's personal coach is Mr. Iriyama, who went from Nishiarai Junior High School to Saitama Institute of Technology Fukaya to Chuo University?

Nope, but Miwa is likely the first JBC to win.

何智麗/He Zhili/小山智麗/Koyama Chire won 8 times, from 1992-1997 (finalist in 1998) and 1999-2000.
滿麗/Man Li/金沢咲希/Kanazawa Saki won in 2006.
王輝/Wang Hui won in 2010.
always thought it was strange why Wang Hui wasn't required to naturalise her name

He said Tazoe is more sensitive/sensible and fun in an interview a few days ago. And he's said in past Butterfly interviews that he constantly argued with his dad.

Maybe Kishikawa not saying much has to do with that.

Well, some say it's a myth. 韓陽/Kan Yo also didn't use a naturalized name.

I always wonder why ethnically Chinese players have to naturalised their name when representing Japan whether it’s a compulsory thing or safety reasons. I can see why they do it for safety reasons due to fearing that they may be targeted in Japan due to being ethnically Chinese. Maybe thats why the Harimotos decided to change for safety reasons.

I see Japan Cricket players who most of them are mixed with European ancestry from their father side get to keep their names they usually have their Japanese and European family names hyphenated. Also with Japan Rugby Union players who are of European or Pacific Islander descent none of them converted their names to Japanese, all of them keep their original name.
