This is quite surprising. Long overdue inclusion to the rakza family but better late than never.

An all-rounder rubber that is widely recommended in the community, is now getting a harder sponge to give more oomph.

Will be interesting to see a rakza 7 extra hard
It's has a very good top sheet so yeah, a good idea to give it another shot in the arm with a sponge that might suit the people (for a little while longer at least) who usually move on from this rubber...
I'd certainly like to try it

I wonder if they ever will? It looks like it is all about the Genextion range for Nitakku now.
If Yasaka can give us R7H after all this time then I'm sure that Nittaku can give us G1H. Genextion series are 52.5 degrees, and I think Nittaku definitely has space in their lineup to afford introducing a midrange 50 degree rubber. At present IIRC the only 50 degree rubber they have is the Hammond Z2 which is pretty fast.

It was available in Korea and then never saw a wider release.
I know, and I'm still salty I was never able to get my hands on some. If Nittaku was feeling out the market I think they should have released it in Japan too.

It would be nice, I just wouldn't hold my breath on this one. Rakza ranges does not have a competing upgraded range. The Genextion is a replacement range for the Fastarc so I expect this is where we are going to see it.

I thought Rakza XX has the same top-sheet as Rakza 7, isn't it so? Now R7H is supposed to have the same hardness as RXX... Is it just the same rubber with different name? I'd not be surprised when I see Yasaka claims Rakza X has higher throw than R7, for me RX was ideal blocking rubber with low throw... I also enjoyed RXX but was a bit hard for my BH...

EDIT: To add, for me RXX was closer to R7 than to RX, but the name would suggest otherwise... In other words, mess, unlikely not deliberate...

TTGearLab claims RXX and R7 have identical pips geometry. From official images of Yasaka Sweden, the pips of RXX do appear closer to R7 than RX.

FWIW, Yasaka Japan makes no mention of R7 in the description of RXX and only compares it with RX.

I can not wait!
Rakza 7 is my regular backhand rubber for a while now so I am hyped.
Boosting the regular Rakza 7 is too soft for this ball so having a 50/52 degree sponge boosted rakza 7 is perfect.
Dignics 05 boosted is also a monster backhand rubber but I prefer the topsheet of R7 for control and adding spin in high pressure moments.
