Hey @Matteones , I agree with you, for me there is nothing better than a well boosted H3N BS on forehand, it's almost magical. You do boost more often than I do, I re-boost every 2 months (max twice) cause I'm a bit lazy and don't want to damage the blade so much (I don't like the feel of the blade seal). DHS 15 is indeed the glue to use, but for the blade I prefer revolution 3, the dhs15 on my unvarnished dhs blade is hard to apply properly, again, bit lazy here haha

Do take into account that after 4 layers of booster spread through time it will probably reach its max, sometimes you can do one more if sponge is 40 or 41 and if you apply them very thin but that's that, the blue sponge is very prone to bubbles and I'm sure you are hitting it hard

In any case, value for money is amazing and that's why 'm making soon a guide on H3N to help others understand the rubber better, I think most people don't get why it's so good or have misconceptions around boosting, sponge colour, hardness, versions and so forth.

I find volume control is key for DHS15. I use a syringe so I always put the same amount on each layer and the right amount to avoid balling etc.

Yes with the old H3s, the commercial was still so tacky! One very good player in our club the same, he used it for 3+ years and still tacky after so long, but he didn't boost, quite a beast the guy

I don't even think unboosted H3 Neo feels "dead". If you want it really dead, get a fresh sheet of Super Fx, or a classic Chinese rubber like Cj8000... The first few sessions until those break in are a nightmare to even get the ball over the net

People who say it feels dead are just feeling the total linearity of the rubber. H3 puts out exactly what you put into it which translates to better control and feeling.

I don't know how you can still get tacky H3. The last 2 sheets I bought were not tacky at all. Maybe they have different versions for different markets.

I used to use this method as well 😂. Frustration of having to do it again finally got the better of me...the draw back is people ask me to glue their rubbers for them now....so maybe I do have it all wrong

I think the general view is they are not making them as sticky due to the heavy ball and needing to have a bit more speed in the rubber. More a view then facts but seems to be accurate. For me the fresh rubber is not particularly tacky but if you keep it clean, and put that small drop of water under a no adhesive film then it becomes tackier over the initial period. My H3N for example go from kinder tacky to waking around the table tacky. In saying that, I haven't bought one for a year now so it might have changed.

Interestingly I have seen the same with the Battle 3. My mates new ones are hardly tacky but his older ones are tacky.
