I am a intermediate-high/intermediate level player, I have a strong service and receive game, good bh and fh techniques and wish to get a faster setup since many people have said that a faster setup would benefit me.
I want a spinny, controllable and fastish FH, a controlled but fastish BH rubber.

Blade:
-Loki w81 Pro Outer

FH:
-H3 Prov BS 40 (non-NEO) 2.15
-Loki Rxton 7 40
-Loki Rxton 7 Nat 40
-Loki Rxton 9 40.5
-Loki Rxton 9 Prov 40

BH:
-H8 37 2.15
-H8-80 37 2.1
-Tibhar Aurus Max

Obs.:All the chinese rubbers will be boosted and I will buy everything from Aliexpress

I accept other options but would prefer your opinion on these options.

Blade: Viscaria or Fan Zhendong ALC
FH:H3 BS 40 Non-Neo or H3 BS 40 Neo
BH: H8 37 or H8-80 37

Unfortunately haven't tried any Loki products, but from my experience, H8-80 is slightly faster than H8, just remember that boosting these Chinese rubbers will add on additional weight so be prepared for that, otherwise these are some good choices 🙂

Unfortunately don't have the money for that kind of blade it costs twice as much to buy a viscaria or fzd alc in my country ±350usd and my budget is ±100usd

I love my H3N BS on FH and 8-80 on backhand, if the basics of technique, footwork and overall condition are there, then it's great value for money :)

In any case, what was not clear to me is if you have the Loki blade already or you want to change to it. It's not a slow blade, as an intermediate you may struggle with it, I'd need to see some gameplay to say for sure though, maybe you are very high intermediate and is all good!!

Currently have a Timo Boll ZLF, have tried the viscaria many times, haven't felt that it's too fast for me so I thought that a vis clone would be good too so I picked the one from a brand that I have used before

I see, with what rubbers did you try the viscaria or what rubbers are now on the ZLF?
Viscaria with d09c and t19 and vis with omega 4 asia and omega 4 euro
Used Timo Boll zlf with sanwei target national and rxton 5 and now d05 and t05 but they are not good for my game / not used to the bouncy nature
Obs.:d05 and t05 used rubbers not new

I usually recommend a Chinese FH and Euro BH for most styles, wherein the forehand needs to be more spinny (since it's naturally faster) and a faster backhand (since the backswing is usually shorter). However, it looks like a double Chinese style would work for you pretty well, considering you are a pretty balanced player (from what you say)

As for the blade, Idk much about the w81 that much, so I can't give any opinion on that. I would recommend a balanced allwood/ALC blade like Korbel, Harimoto ALC, Viscaria, or Acoustic Carbon. Ma Lin Extra Offensive could also work, but I wouldn't recommend it as much as the above options.

When talking about rubbers, you can decide on either a Euro/Jap or Chinese set. Usually, those who pick the Chinese setup prefers spin and control, similar to what you want. E/J rubbers, on the other hand, prioritize speed and pressure. Just for some additional information, to find which one you like, look at your forehand and backhand and compare it to the CNT's style and Timo Boll (or Truls, or Anders, whoever). What aligns better may be what would be better for you.

Anyway, some great rubber recommendations would be H3 (NEO), Battle 2, Loki 5 blue, or Yinhe Big Dipper on the forehand. For the backhand, you can use H8-80 (o H8), Loki 5 blue, or H3 NEO 37. For E/J setups, Fastarc G1, D09c, Tibhar MX-P, or Bluegrip (works for both sides).

Other than being pre boosted and having a layer of glue pre-aplied what are the differences between the Neo ans non-Neo H3 BS

If you are intermediate to intermediate advance..why not just keep the same blade for now with new rubbers and save up for something like the viscaria etc? I don't know the Loki gear very well as I have only had a very small and casual hit with one of their setups some time ago. H3 and the H8-80 are good rubbers. Don't see any reason why you wouldn't give them a go. Just need to keep an eye on weight but that is a personal preference thing. I just hope the H3 brings enough of what you are looking for compared to the Sanwei Target National. They are fairly similar to be honest with the Sanwei being naturally faster with its boosting. So it depends on your boosting of the H3. They apparently have a different throw angle but I haven't noticed it playing with and against these rubbers.

If you want a new blade and are on a budget. yazaka Ma Lin offensive blades. The names has just changed and they are now called the Myth range but still the same blade. Cost next to performance and longevity, I don't think there is a better blade.

At the risk of being unpopular here, but if you played with the ZLF and Viscaria with those rubbers, that's fast enough for intermediates in most cases. I think it's important to know where power comes from in TT, and it's not about gear but technique, check this out: https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/fo...ower-really-comes-from-in-table-tennis.38784/

So what I would do is, if you like the ZLF, which is a good blade anyways, keep it, and do the H3N and 8-80 since you do not like bouncy rubbers, and done:)

And for technique improvements, have a look at this collection of videos to get more insights on the right fundamentals. Lots of details there that may escape the eye initially, I speak from experience here ;) https://www.tabletennisequipmenthelp.com/technique-videos

By the way, I will post here a very long amateur guide on H3N this weekend, have been working on it for a while so stay tuned!
