Best way to look after your bat?

Hi Guys, as the title says what would you say is the best way to look after your bat in your opinion?

One of the reasons I ask is because I wanted to know whether although I don’t use tacky rubbers, would you say using sticky rubber film protectors is a good decision still?

Currently I do the essentials (bat case, clean rubbers after each session) but I just put on the paper rubber protectors you get with the packaging.

Thanks in advance

For sticky rubbers use not sticky film protectors and for non sticky rubbers use sticky film protectors.

I guess makes sense, so always the rubbers are avoiding the air to oxidize the rubber and in the case of sticky rubbers also the dust.

I don't worry about it too much because no matter what you do, the rubber will harden and the wood will degrade from temperature and moisture effects. I just cover the rubber with something so that at least it doesn't catch dust before the next session. Maybe a rinse with water once in a while if it looks particularly dirty.
