sanwei rubber cutter without press

So basically:
1) Place a plastic cutting board on the ground.
2) Place the blade with cutter attached rubber side down on top of the board.
3) Place a piece of wood board on top of the blade+cutter combination - i.e. make a sandwich.
4) Stand on top of the wood board.
5) Repeat for other side.

And yes they're all essentially identical.
ohh i see

So i looked on aliexpress and found somehting similar to the sanwei rubber press (or machine idk tbh) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005011893867071.html?src=google but Ive also seen vids on yt that peole just put that on ansd then roll it with a ball tube or similar. would that produce a smooth edge as well with little to no overhang? as in would it produce as good of a result as you woudl get with the rubber press?
Can you please try (like in your club) to check if this tool can be used for a oversized (like 165x160mm) defensive blade? Does it fit inside this tool and it is possible to cut the rubbers?

You could always make a little press from two sheets of ply and 4 threaded bolts plus wing nuts. Basically how we used to dry leaves, tighten the nuts crosswise and equally and presto.
Well thanks for the idea, because I felt like an idiot after reading that 😅 ("why I haven't thought about it?!". I own this basic aliexpress cutter and until now I used the rolling pin which worked, but was not perfect. As it has to be done rubber-up it caused rubber to detach on the edges (especially that I boost with FTL, so it curls).

After reading your post I thought about some parts of plywood I was going to throw away just a day before and voilla.
It for sure works better for the edges than rolling pin and the angle is always right. It also costet me around 0$, because threads are also leftover from some DIY work.
