i recently ried to relgue my rubbres back on becuase they started falling off from repeated friction on the table, but i gave it to my coach to glue it previuously, and he mustve have used a tonof glue becuase it pulled off a unch of wood! as in like 1 long strip of wood right down the upper half. (no pic cuz i already reglued). It was a small strip but deep nonetheless.what do i do? i just reglued the rubber back on.

When You pull the rubbers off, do NOT do it top to bottom. The wood is strongest across the fibers and I have never seen a blade where the fibers doesn't run from top to bottom. Therefore remove them slowly side to side...
A layer of sealer will also help, but not always. The longer a rubber is glued the harder it will stick...

allegedly it will change the feeling slightly. i think im just gonna invest in a butterfly blade after i need to change rubbers.
So will ripping out splinters 🤷‍♂️ and BTY blades aren't immune to that either even if it's usually better

ive reglued my rubbers every time like 4 times already with 1 layer glue both sides. i veen tried 2 layer and it came off fine/ until i gave it to my coach and he glued it and when i tried to remove the rubber, it was super hard to remove. ;-; ill just glue it myself next time

just one more thing, if i do get a new blade, i think i will get timo boll alc or one of the alc blades from butterfly lineup, should i get st handle or flared. i tried my coach's st handle and it felt pretty similar. cuz on ebay from this reputable seller, their st handle timo boll alc is like 30 dollars cheaper than the fl handle.

I mean FL or ST is mostly preference, ST supports grip changes more and FL sits more snug mostly.
Innerforce ALC might be closer to your current blade if that is of any importance to you.

Also for glue, I have noticed that since I use glues such as Rev no3 or Liulan none of my unsealed blades really splintered badly. But the one I had glued in the store back in the day did.
Still I seal all the blades I play mainly with and change rubbers more often.
