What clone blades from AliExpress are best for new penhold player s .[ a quarter of price of the originals ] two kids at our club now . more will come later . more experienced members say go for wood l say carbon not need to change blades for faster ones . the kids have v good talent and speed and ability . they will not be beginners in 3 months if are very keen . l picked yinhe v14 pro the viscaria clone for 24 pounds with slow rubbers [Chinese] issue is / in buying a penholder blade is reselling when outgrown in the uk . less than 2% players here . is the pg7 a clone of Stiga clipper ? .any ideas please .

on rubbers for the penholder kids maybe Yinhe Jupiter 3 or mercury 2 ? we have to glue up to 30mm from the handle depends on hand size l think ?

So they need to be aware that there are inherent weaknesses to penhold. There's a reason majority of Chinese team doesn't use penhold anymore. The major reason is when you train extensively you will develop injuries to your thumb and pointer. Because they are taking a big strain whenever you hit reverse backhand.

Players that are just using penhold grip could have that thumb and pointer finger issue, but players that have trained that grip and style for years will have already built the muscle endurance to stay in that position. If you brought up shoulder and wrist issues, that would make more sense, but your reason is not really a good one...

Well i know of two people at my club that have thumb issues. They've been playing for at least 20 yrs.

obviously it's not the only reason. but the fact is penhold has different stresses which can lead to long term injuries.
