What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Ah yeah i used to have that but thought it wouldnt add value, more like noise

Id say 8-80 and tin-arc are the closest to a hybrid, but DHS doesnt really do hybrids as their main focus, they do H3 and the boosted versions of it and similar to H3 variants

No sorry! I use a spreadsheet to import into the DB on the site, but i deleted that column when i was making it. But any other rubbers in particular that youd like to know what type they are? should be easy to answer that!

I tried Dignics 09c and Gewo Codexx 53 superselect. The stickiness difference is very noticable. Codexx reminded me of slightly sticky Dignics 64 or MX-P 50, while D09c felt closer to Hurricane 3. I just want to know towards which side these rubbers lean on: Bluestar, NUZN, K3, Jekyll & Hyde, Triple Double Extra, Helix Hybrid, Dynaryz ZGX.
Knowing such information ahead would help me decide whether they suit my BH or FH more.

Np! Yeah in my experience more like a tensor, but it's just a way of defining things, in the end what matters is how much catapult with what gears

I don't think anybody would bother faking a cheap rubber like this. You likely got a rubber that was made on monday while the previous one was made on a sad rainy friday , or vsv 😆

Yes ofc just ask anything! Rakza Z is for me one of the perfect pure hybrid examples, fairly sticky when compared with other tensor hybrids, lasts a long time, and is very linear, for me one of the best pure hybrids for amateurs, still up to today

BDV is often described as a hybrid rubber, but honestly, if you're used to ESN-made rubbers, you'll probably find it surprisingly dead and much more tacky than expected.

The only real alternatives I can think of are SANWEI Target National and Double Fish Volant Phoenix.

If you prefer a lighter, more tensor-like feel with easy rebound, I would recommend the Target National.

If you’re looking for the power and heavy spin you get from really engaging your swing, more like a hybrid rubber, then I’d recommend the Volant Phoenix.

Haven't tried Volant as much to say (a friend of mine has it, felt pretty pure hybrid back then, but my memory may fail here) but yes BD5 is more of pure hybrid but with a Chinese taste, not like a 50/50 like rakza Z, more like 65/35 or so
