Sorry, when I said 2.2 I think that was how it came out when I put a ruler up against it !! It is indeed max, from Bribar. Perhaps I'd better change my profile slightly !
As for the edge tape, my other bat has had Tibhar Aurus since January and the edges of that disintegrate like a bastard - I assumed Rhyzm, being a similar sort of rubber, would do the same if given the chance. There's also a theory that edge tape stops the sponge gassing out so quickly - QED - and it's no bad thing to protect the edges of the blade itself especially if you sometimes hit the edge of the table like me. And lastly your bat looks kinda neat with a carefully-applied edge tape especially if Bribar have done their precision cutting job on the rubbers.
If you happen to have a roll of Tees Sport's lovely canary-yellow-and-green tape about your person you can dazzle your opponent too !
