Re “custom” xylo 7… apparently these are typically 87g. Let’s say for the sake of example about 2/3rds of the ones made are between 85 and 89g. 9/10ths might between be between 83 and 91g, leaving say 1/20th lighter than 83g and 1/20th heavier than 91g. Made up numbers! Hugo probably...

I do not know the onboarding process for new mods….i do fear that our new (volunteers) mods have been thrown in at the deep and with very little in the way of support or mentoring. That being the case unfortunately something like this blowing up was always quite likely ☹️. Is a real shame

Simon will know much more than me as an organiser of events, but I would imagine there are responsibility / liability issues that are helped if your event is an official TTE one.

Sometimes a serve with almost no spin can be more devastating than an incredibly spinny one. All of the previously mentioned rubbers can produce sufficient spin, but it is down to the skill of the server to produce sufficient deception.
