  1. Legendary Coach 추교성 JPen equipment advice

Nice weight. Don't think you've played that shape with the hinoki before, so interested if you find it a good backup to your V-MAX. I always like to keep the same dimensions, otherwise sometimes I miss the ball because I'm expecting racket there! 😆
  2. Legendary Coach 추교성 JPen equipment advice

Nah with equipment I keep it simple and don't EJ too much. Been using the same Butterfly model since 2014, except for 2018 when I had a Xu Xin CPen phase. On the T-Mount website they slap a massive shipping fee if you order below I think $150USD or something. So best to order on tt-japan, WRM...
  3. Legendary Coach 추교성 JPen equipment advice

Yeah I think they moved away from that approach and focused just on the Katana series which uses regular shape. I guess their main competition in Korea is now T-Mount with Kim Taek-Soo's popularity. Of course Butterfly will always sell well. And Yoo and Lee are releasing blades with Nexy. Ryu...
  4. Legendary Coach 추교성 JPen equipment advice

Sorry I don't know. The Hibi-O uses the same shape as the MUV Prospeed afaia. There's not so many tips on there. I think all the videos are generally released now. Some really good info, but more of a general thing, not advanced info. I like seeing how Chu approaches the game. The storytelling...

And if you look at the crosssection of his blade there are marks where he's hit the table. Mine's worse, but at least shows the legends are a bit like us 😆 I do but don't think it prevents splitting. Always 2 coats of Xiom I-Sure. Just got the free trial for channel membership so will watch his...
  6. Positioning at the table - An in-depth tactical guide on positioning during table tennis rallies

This is good but I think it's a little too long to reach a larger audience. Maybe you could make a short which captures the key details in a minute or so, especially with diagrams and visuals. Maybe for another video on the same topic you could break down professional rallies from popular...
  7. Legendary Coach 추교성 JPen equipment advice

Yeah I was a little surprised tbh. He also talked about accidentally snapping his favourite ever blade and regluing it because it was so good instead of finding a new one. It's rare to get these sorts of insights.
  8. Legendary Coach 추교성 JPen equipment advice

Some fascinating insight from Coach Chu. The English dubbing is definitely improved these days. He talks about intentionally snapping JPens and regluing to solve resonance issues. Having a blade so good that Yoo Nam Kyu asked to borrow it for a major final Vs Ma Lin. And he reckons there could...
  9. Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, 10/31-11/5

Ah nice, great to see Africa hosting an Olympic event. Have heard good things about Senegal. There are so many contenders. And the Russian athletes will be competing now, too.
  10. Need Advice On Hinoki Blade (J-pen)

I think that would be quite difficult. You'd need to judge from match play what shots you play under pressure, essentially the distance from the table, when you are contacting the ball, how thickly you contact the ball, balance between speed and loop drive, the shape of your swing etc. It's...
  11. Need Advice On Hinoki Blade (J-pen)

I know a clubmate who has injuries and got the V11 for that reason and yes it is very light. Can't remember how it plays. Victas tend not to be that durable. I think your wrist will strengthen with time. With one rubber, it will still be fairly light - it's just a massive increase in weight...
  12. Sapphire Wood 1 ply JPEN

I just got it to teach kids JPen. But I wouldn't get it again probably because of the shape. So probably would get the Bethel instead. It's fine to teach forehand with though. Yeah my V-Max rubbers seem to fit, even though the dimensions listed on XIOM are different and the shape is different...
  13. Suggestions on rubbers for a man leaving h3 neo

I think Dignics 09c would be preferable. It still has some tackiness and is probably the closest you'd get for spin. If you just want a rubber that's easy to use, any of the Tenergies would work. But try the turbo version of the hurricane before you do that.
  14. Sapphire Wood 1 ply JPEN

Yeah this one is good to give to kids because it's not so fragile like Hinoki, or expensive to replace. The only thing is I find the unique shape awkward to play backhand with. It has less feeling and control than Hinoki, less deep contact, and is a bit slower. Not too bad as a beginner...
  15. Need Advice On Hinoki Blade (J-pen)

12mm Super Shock Guard. Nittaku (It adds some protection. I invariably hit it on things accidentally. But it does splinter the edge and leave sticky residue if you care about that. I don't care as long as it's not broken and plays well!)
