  1. Hurricane 3 Provincial VS Hurricane 3 NEO Provincial

As someone who has moved from Tensor/SPI rubbers to DHS rubber, i would say that my move was a tough one. With regards to DHS Hurr3 prv, i must say that the rubber is of no use without tuning. Read this thread for more : http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=51345&PID=633288 I...
  2. Video: Me, myself and I doing Topspin Forehand Warmup HD

I think i am facing the same problems as olavrox, though i am a penhold player. I am 6ft tall, and i do not bend much(though my knees bend, but the body above my waist does a 80-70degree tilt). And i am also not sure how much i should bend!
  3. Help with Cpen

Yasaka Extra Offensive is a VERY good blade; but i got myself a Galaxy W-6 just 3 days back and it works great. I also put DHS Hurr 3 (prv) on the FH and LKT Pro XP on the BH - but the combination turned out to be very heavy(though it works awsum). Also, i like to spin a lot and DHS HUrr 3 wasnt...
  4. artengo glue

Avoid artengo products as much as possible. I generally buy only their TT shorts which are like 10$. I got their Artengo 880-0 penhold blade and the rubber was dead with 10hours of practice.
  5. Ma Lin loosing sheen? China Open 2012: Oh Sang Eun-Ma Lin

After watching this match, i am pretty disappointed, as was after watching the match with Kirill Photo by: beijing2008.cn 1. Is it the age factor which is causing Ma Lin to fail so badly? 2. Is Penhold actually losing out in this fast game? Is shakehand the future? #2 is troubling me more as...
  6. Returning a side spin to the left

So, i tried this and am extremely happy about this tip. Till date, i always used to keep my bat parallel to the table while returning serves or chopping; i tilted slightly and i see that my chops are getting more lethal and the serve-returns are getting better. Though, where there is a HEAVY...
  7. genious

I got Tibhar Aurus Soft and am not very happy with the spin(i expected a lot more; atleast on par with Rakza 7). Is Genius better than Aurus Soft in terms of spin?
  8. Having a hard time playing TT

First of all you have a very good blade and your rubbers also looks very good; which means that your equipment is perfect. Since i am myself a penholder, and have learnt bulk of the stuff on my own(we dont have any penhold coaches around), my FH and BH(RPB) work perfectly fine during counters...
  9. Returning a side spin to the left

Should the entire right hand side of the blade be up or just near the handle? Also, i see that sometimes while chopping this serve, the ball just bounces too much high. This does not happen always. Is this because i am keeping the blade too flat?
  10. Returning a side spin to the left

So I have been playing with this guy who does a side spin serve as shown in the picture, though i am able to take it, i cannot but return in either of the 3 return spots as shown in the figure(#1,2,3). If #3 is very close to the net, then it works, otherwise(in the case of #1 and 2), he just...
  11. Learning New serves

I have been learning the tomahawk serve and today when i was using it in a game, i find that its one of the easiest of the serves to return(read 'hit back' in the return). Only if there is really amazing control and you control the bounce so that it pitches close to the net, then it kind of...
  12. Learning New serves

Thanks. I was planning to start another thread asking for other off-table exercises. This one was good.
  13. Learning New serves

I am a penholder and i find some of the serves by TACHSHOW to be REALLY good. How do you learn new serves? By "continuous rigorous practice" or is there some other magic charm?
  14. Competition Time - Win a Joola Xplode (RRP £46.99)

Is this applicable people for all over the globe?
  15. I played with Ma Lin!

What happened during 2:20 ; the counter looks to be simple, or was there a spin to it?
